Does anyone know what their doctrine about angels is based on in Scripture?

It seems to me that most are arguing about what they have heard through hearsay and not seriously looked into the matter themselves.

No one is attempting to understand what Scripture states on these matters or share with others what they have learned. I have at least seen attempts made with other issues.
