Lk 1:35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
would you really say Jesus did not have the holy spirit from the womb ? try and deny him to be the son of God ,and deny him to be holy ,
and why did the holy spirit went to Mary for Mary or for the child ?

ParticipantNick,
I already pointed out to you but you not truly believe that one must either walk according to the Spirit or according to the flesh and so seek a third way that is not written to explain why Jesus did not sin previous to having the spirit land on him.
There is no third way written in Scripture only speculation and hints.

ParticipantHi KW,
Yes I remember your dogma that denied the grace of God.
Move on.

ParticipantNick,
Believers receive the Spirit by the grace of God. Do you not believe the same happened to the Author and Finisher of their faith?

ParticipantHi KW,
No amount of muddying the water
conceals the fact that Jesus was never said to be led by the Spirit till after the jordan

ParticipantNick,
Of course that does not mean he was not lead by the Spirit previous, only that he was not that it is literally written.
It is different context than when those words are used in Galatians 5.

ParticipantHi KW,
Yes there is plenty of room for speculation by those determined to justify their own ideas.
May 26, 2016 at 11:42 am#814491kerwin
ParticipantNick,
It is you that speculates not me.
I just use what is written to reveal what is hidden.
The teaching of the resurrection is hidden in the OT but Jesus taught it though the Sadducees did not see it. Do you choose to be like the Sadducees?

ParticipantHi KW,
No you offer what mysticism suggests and call it truth.
May 27, 2016 at 1:33 am#814505kerwin
ParticipantNick,
The word flesh is used mystical, aka figuratively, in this teaching but I cannot think of any others that are.The options are walk according to the flesh or walk according to the Spirit. (Galatians 5)
Those options are given to those that are set free from bondage to sin.
Those that are still in bondage can only walk according to the works of the flesh.
Those that are truly free walk according to the Spirit.
Jesus has always been truly free and therefore walks according to the Spirit.May 27, 2016 at 8:03 am#814513NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
Galatians is written to the saved.
Would you apply those teachings to the unsaved?
By whose authority?

ParticipantHi KW,
You offer your dogmas as truth.
Is the Law not spiritual?
Do you still doubt the effectiveness of the Law ?
May 27, 2016 at 8:24 am#814515kerwin
ParticipantNick,
The Law is Spiritual but a human being is not. That is why Paul wrote these words:
Romans 7:14Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
Carnal, as in bondage to sin. It is also known as being a servant to sin.
Romans 6:16-17Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
Jesus was not carnal because he was free from bondage to sin, which is to say the flesh.

ParticipantHi KW,
Yes he became an overcomer.
We need to follow the man born of woman.
Or do you think he was not an overcomer but was born free from the curse of sin?
May 27, 2016 at 8:32 am#814517NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
Your derived dogmas have become the truth to you.
dig deeper
May 27, 2016 at 8:45 am#814518kerwin
ParticipantNick,
Scripture only teaches one way to be an overcome and that is to walk according to the Spirit.
Yet you insist on claiming there is another.
You are not even bothering to claim it is implied.
May 27, 2016 at 8:57 am#814519NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
Cleanliness is the result of overcoming.
God demands clean vessels to invest His Spirit in.
Jesus was born of woman. Job 25
May 27, 2016 at 11:15 am#814520kerwin
ParticipantNick,
Yes, only through faith can a man be made clean.
That is also how a man receives and walks by the Spirit.
A human without the Spirit a man may be credited with it.
Abraham was so credited.
Jesus did not need to be credited with having it but rather revealed he had had it by being without sin.
May 27, 2016 at 11:21 am#814521NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
Put aside your presumptions. Believe in grace
The law is sufficient to become clean as proven by Jesus of Nazareth
Those who are clean are ready to be filled with the Spirit as happened with Jesus at the Jordan river
