    Curious jammin.
Where does it say that specifically and why do some translations say that God told Adam to repopulate the Earth? Faulty translation perhaps?

I am open minded here, and more so since I have done little study in this area. I haven't got any clear understanding about what is possible given what I have read so far. Perhaps empty minded is a better way to put it. :D

I believe there were “others” before Adam was created as the first “adam”.

    then read it.
i can read in the bible that there was no man before adam.
that is what the bible says

if you do not believe that, you have a mind problem.
    make your own bible

    Jammin,

Others was in parenthesis. Mike was careful not to say men. T8 has a point about “repopulate”.

Kerwin and t8, what did you guys think about that UB quote?

That the earlier traditions recognized pre-Adamic civilization is clearly shown by the fact that later editors, intending to eradicate all reference to human affairs before Adam’s time, neglected to remove the telltale reference to Cain’s emigration to the “land of Nod,” where he took himself a wife.

I also believe this to be a “telltale” sign of something gone amiss.  But then the Bible doesn't say anything at all about Adam being the first humanoid person on earth.  It says he was the first to be made in “our image” – obviously referring to the image of God AND His already existent spirit sons.

So maybe nothing is amiss, and we were always meant to understand that humanoid beings existed outside of Eden before God specifically created the “adam” species in Eden.

    Mike,

    Genesis 4:17
    King James Version (KJV)

17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

It sounds like Cain was already married.

give me the verse about repopulate

here is the verse for there was no man before adam
    Genesis 2:5-8
    Amplified Bible (AMP)
5 When no plant of the field was yet in the earth and no herb of the field had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not [yet] caused it to rain upon the earth and there was no man to till the ground,
6 But there went up a mist (fog, vapor) from the land and watered the whole surface of the ground—
7 Then the Lord God formed man from the [a]dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath or spirit of life, and man became a living being.

    Genesis 2:5
    New Living Translation (NLT)
5 neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil.

if you continue reading the verse , that man is adam

    Genesis 2:20
    New International Version (NIV)
20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.

But for Adam[a] no suitable helper was found.

    Jamin.

It is true that Adam was the first man on earth.
Before the creation of life and herbs, the earth was a *water planet*,and no life can exist. No living creatures were created untill the 5th day.

There is no purpose to create humanoids with no conscience.
Only man in the image of God can have a conscience.
Only man in te image of God can make a choice between good and evil.

The whole purpose of creating man and lucifer is to bring forth evil in this world, and bring it to the maximum, and then evil will be destroyed.Once this has been achieved, evil is no more *for ever*,in Gods kingdom.

This is also a lesson for the angels in heaven.
So they can see true evil in the universe.
1/3 of the angels were brewing evil in heaven, but it could not materialise,so God created flesh,so that evil could manifest it self.

    wakeup.

    Jammin,

    Genesis 1:28
    King James Version (KJV)

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

    Actually Wakeup,

Didn't God create man “without a conscience” – as you put it?

Man didn't know good from evil UNTIL he ate of the tree that he wasn't supposed to eat from, right?

    kerwin,

    it means multiply
    Genesis 1:28
    New Living Translation (NLT)
28 Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

    OR YOU CAN READ
    Genesis 1:28
    Contemporary English Version (CEV)
28 God gave them his blessing and said:

Have a lot of children! Fill the earth with people and bring it under your control. Rule over the fish in the ocean, the birds in the sky, and every animal on the earth.

if the bible is silent, we must be silent.
    we should always remember this
    1 Corinthians 4:6
    King James Version (KJV)
6 And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself and to Apollos for your sakes; that ye might learn in us not to think of men above that which is written, that no one of you be puffed up for one against another.

That rule would have silenced the Prophets and Apostles.

    kerwin,

because some people think that they know everything. that is why many are false teachers. they teach what is not written in the bible. they make their own stories.
example, some people believe that there were human before adam but the bible said that there were no people before adam. those false teachers are making stories without basis.

just remember, if you read the bible, you must stick to its doctrine.
if the bible is silent, you must also be silent.

a true preacher teach what is written in the bible. it should be verse by verse. it should be written and not just stories.

    Jammin,

The Prophets and Apostles taught what was not written in the bible, or the Decalogue would be the complete bible.

In this case people are examining Scripture to see how it goes with the teachings of Science.  They are asking questions that are outside of the box of Tradition.

For example, the five teach us that the grave of Moses was not found though the same five say where it was.  Jude, a scroll, added later, teaches us Satan and Michael argued over possession of it.

did i say GOD is dumb and no longer speaks?

    God speaks thru his words

John 5:46-47 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

if you want you can make your own bible and put there all your illusions.
ill repeat, the bible is already complete and we do not need to add words sunshine.

    Jammin,

God does not say his words are ended, it is unbelieving man who states that. God's Word will not be complete until God chooses to speak no more.

God speaks in many ways do not ignore it in whatever way he chooses to speak.

I have trouble hearing it and hearing it perfectly is one of the things I petition God for.
