Or should we just let it slide when attacks are wages on our Holy scriptures, be non confrontational?, even obsequious?
Hmmm…what would Jesus do?
I'll tell you what I think He would do – Fire Up!
June 9, 2008 at 5:32 pm#92051Not3in1ParticipantJesus was angry a few times, but for the majority of the time he extended grace, mercy and forgiveness. He fed people and washed their feet. He pointed the way to the Father when people questioned his mission and person. I think the only time he got “fired up” was when he spoke to the money exchanger's in the temple. I don't think anyone here at Heavennet fits that bill, imo.

I do not see my Jesus the way you do. Your attitude really stinks. That is all I am going to say to you. Hopefully God will let you see, how wrong you are when you talk to other Brethren like that. They dont deserve that kind of sarcasm.

How about John 8? An exceptionally terse exchange with the pharisees.June 9, 2008 at 8:02 pm#92088Not3in1ParticipantHi Adam,
IMO means in my opinion.
Hi Isaiah,
If you feel justified that is all that matters, I guess. There is a time for everything. I was just questioning the timing and the person your anger was directed towards. Press on towards the goal.

I never really felt I needed to justify myself, hardly seems sinful to vociferously defend God's word or His character.Quote There is a time for everything. I was just questioning the timing and the person your anger was directed towards.
I don't think we necessarily need to take these things into consideration. A defence of God's word and/or His character when they are subject to an unfounded attack should be the default response of the christian. Right? I have no personal issue with Tim, he's seems nice guy and I like Him. We all give correction from time to time. We're biblically mandated to do so.June 10, 2008 at 5:30 am#92184Not3in1ParticipantQuote (Is 1:18 @ June 10 2008,17:23) Quote (Not3in1 @ June 10 2008,08:02) Hi Isaiah, If you feel justified that is all that matters, I guess.
