Concerning the Scouts' conversation, it continues to amaze me how seriously people take this bizarre salvation fantasy. The gullibility of believing that there is automatically something wrong with you that can only be fixed by a particular set of rituals is quite striking. The discussion has become so esoteric in the manner of a train-spotting club deciding who should get to wear the anorak that I fear some might be losing the last vestiges of reality. Not that reality is important to some here anyway.
Do you really believe this politically-inspired nonsense? How have you allowed yourself to assent to the secretly sniggering brass arrogance of someone (whoever it was) telling you that you need saving from sin? For all the bluster we read against 'The Whore' here, it sure sounds pretty historically Catholic to me.
