charity. Eternal life doesn't mean that you lived forever in the past.
It means a staring point and it never ends from there.

Only God has always been. He would obviously be outside of time if he created the Universe.

There are two main hard and fast rules for anyone who would like to become an “atheist.” If you are tempted, beware. It's not an easy thing to do.

The first rule is to ignore design in nature. You will see it everywhere; from the planets, to the atoms, to the birds and the bees, to the seasons, to the design of the human body, the design of fish, flowers, fruits, feet, and even fungus. And of course, the amazing-looking human eye. Everywhere you look and everywhere you can't look, you will see design.

Now here's the hard part. Ignore your God-given common sense. Admit that everything man made is man-made, but be uncompromisingly adamant that everything in nature came from nothing, with no Designer. Once you have set aside your acumen to do this, crown yourself as being intelligent. Very. Then find other atheists and they will confirm to you that you are indeed, intelligent……………..

If I understand the question, then yes.
I suppose you can see it even in the world.
May not be as extreme, but certainly there are things and experiences that are more heavenly than others while some are more hellish than others.

But once you realise that the illusion of design in nature really is an illusion that has been completely explained; that most religious belief is wishful thinking about things that couldn't possibly be known even if they were true; and that it is possible to forgive yourself for being the subject of a great delusion for perhaps a long time, then you probably have demonstrated yourself intelligent.

Ray Comfort is an embarrassment to our country. The more he develops that American twang the more I like the fact that he doesn't live here.

Hey Stu. Look in my quote below. Can you see that tiny text that almost looks like a line under the words Ray Comfort?

Well you blew it then. I bet many are not aware that he is a Kiwi, and with that American twang, it could have stayed that way. Now you have to endure embarrassment because you just let everyone know that he is from the same place as you.

t8 I stopped and had a quick look around the Living Waters website and it struck me how much of the language of the moron Ray Comfort you use yourself. I'd guess you might be a regular visitor there.

I'm interested to know why you cut off the quote at the point you did. After the dots you added, the original goes on:

“…The second rule is to “believe.” This is very important, because if you let doubt in, it will let in fear, and that can be a scary thing when the issue at stake is a place called “Hell.”

Believe that you are right in your beliefs. Believe that evolution is indeed true. Believe that it’s scientific. Believe that there are no missing links, and believe that Richard Dawkins knows what he is talking about. “

Perhaps it was for brevity, or maybe you were just looking to increase ratings, but I note that after I started posting here you changed the material about evolution on this website away from the kinds of things that we see on Living Waters. Is that because you were convinced by me or others that it was wrong and needed correcting? Do you generally stand by Ray Comfort's writing but choose not to include some parts that you know are directly disprovable, and have already been disproved here?

Thanks for posting the second point.

I like to keep things simple and dislike long posts. Didn't want to write or quote an essay and the first point was all I wanted to highlight. Perhaps if I quoted both, you would wonder why I didn't quote what else he wrote. Do you suppose that it just maybe a case of drawing the line somewhere? Could well be.

As for your mate Ray Comfort. I might have visited his website 2 times in my life, (something like that). So no, not as regular a visitor as you by the sound of it.

BTW, how is he. I remember eating lunch in the Christchurch Square and watching him preach while being heckled by people like you. Perhaps even you. While he went on to bigger things, I am guessing the hecklers are now paying off mortgages and heckling when they get the chance in their everyday lives, at the knitting club, Bingo, work, etc.

Agreed. It was pretty obvious early on. But thought that you might be offended, so didn't say anything till now.
