A desolate house of Israel being joined together as Tj says is an oxymoron. There is no Jewish race today.Encyclopedia Britinaca (1973), vol 12, page 1054 says this:
Quote The findings of physical anthropology show that, contrary to popular view, there is no Jewish race. Dr. Camille Honig, a Jewish authority said,
Quote “It is sheer nonsense….as well as unscientific to speak of a Jewish race….” After the destruction of Jerusalem in ad70 the Jews were scattered among all nations and intermarried with Gentiles. Over the centuries they lost their ethnic identity as descendants of Abraham. Jesus said that their house would be made desolate and it was indeed made desolate. The Jews as a race are extinct like the dinosaurs. Those who are called “Jews” today have simply adopted the Jewish religion. They are not descendants of Abraham and have no promises except salvation through faith.
The Encyclopedia Judaica Jerusalem which is a Jewish encyclopedia says,
Quote “Thus, the diversity of the racial and genetic attributes of various Jewish colonies of today renders any unified racial classification of them a contradiction in terms. Despite this, many people readily accept the notion that they are a distinct race” (vol. 3, p. 50, 1971 edition) Encyclopedia Americana:
Quote Some theorists have considered the Jews a distinct race, although this has no factual basis (1986, vol. 16, p. 17) Collier's Encyclopedia:
Quote “A common error and persistent myth is the designation of the Jews as a 'race'. This is scientifically fallacious, from the standpoint of both physical and historical tradition” (1977, vol. 13 p. 573) Even “Jews” in Israel today don't know who they are. In 1970 there was a law passed in Israel saying that a Jew is someone whose mother is a Jew. But there are only two groups of “Jews” in Israel today which are the Sephardim and the Ashkenazim. These are NOT Jews racially. They are NOT descendants of Abraham. Therefore, their mothers are not descendants of Abraham.
Thus they had to pass a law of their own to define a “Jew.” But passing a law defining a “Jew” does not make one a descendant of Abraham.
So trash your books on prophecy.

The truth that the bible teaches is that we are ALL chosen. YHWH has chosen ALL of us to receive eternal life, some however will receive it before others. Man is an ignorant creature that must learn from it’s more intelligent Creator. The bible shows that God’s achievement to bring all people into the knowledge of the truth depends on the dynamic of leadership and influence.
The process of God bringing all nations unto Faith in Him had to start somewhere and so He chose first to make Himself known to the Israelites. With a whole lot happening in between the time YHWH called the Israelites out of Egypt and made Himself known to them, and our current time now where they seem to considerably still lack rightful knowledge of Him, He is certainly not finished with them. Now The Thinker has shown us that there is no true race of Jews left, we still know however that their ancestry, though maybe not pure, does, and they still feel that Israel is their home and their land as YHWH promised them. As we know from scripture Jerusalem is the beginning of where Jesus will establish His Father’s Kingdom. The nation of Israel will be the center of the beginning of our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom, and thus the people living there will too. My understanding thus far is that Jesus will return to Jerusalem and be the Messiah that the Jews had always been expecting, and they, along with all of YHWH’s true followers that exist all through out the world, will together become the Leaders that bring all other peoples and nations into the knowledge, faith and love of YHWH.

Hi Jodi Lee,
Jesus said to them, “Your house shall be left to you DESOLATE.” This began to be fulfilled when Jerusalem was destroyed in ad70 and they were taken away captive into all nations. God finished with them and there is none left. Their house is “desolate.” Kinship to Abraham is by faith alone in the new covenant age.thinker
August 14, 2009 at 11:08 pm#141040Jodi LeeParticipantHi TT,
God is not finished with the nation and the people of Israel, He has not fulfilled His promises.
Ezek 39:27-29 “When I have brought them back from the nations and have gathered them from the countries of their enemies, I will show myself holy through them in the sight of many nations.” 28 “Then they will know that I am the LORD their God, for though I sent them into exile among the nations, I will gather them to their own land, not leaving any behind.” 29 “I will no longer hide my face from them, for I will pour out my Spirit on the house of Israel, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
Acts 2:29 “Men and brethren, let me speak freely to you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us to this day. 30 Therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him that of the fruit of his body, according to the flesh, He would raise up the Christ to sit on his throne, 31 he, foreseeing this, spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left in Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this which you now see and hear. 34 For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: 'The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, 35 Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.” ' 36 “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.”
1 Chronicles 17:9 Moreover I will appoint a place for My people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more; nor shall the sons of wickedness oppress them anymore, as previously, 10 since the time that I commanded judges to be over My people Israel. Also I will subdue all your enemies. Furthermore I tell you that the Lord will build you a house. 11 And it shall be, when your days are fulfilled, when you must go to be with your fathers, that I will set up your seed after you, who will be of your sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He shall build Me a house, and I will establish his throne forever. 13 I will be his Father, and he shall be My son; and I will not take My mercy away from him, as I took it from him who was before you. 14 And I will establish him in My house and in My kingdom forever; and his throne shall be established forever.” ' ” 15 According to all these words and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David.
Jeremiah 24:6 For I will set My eyes on them for good, and I will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up. 7 Then I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the Lord; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God, for they shall return to Me with their whole heart.
Ezekiel 37:11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, 'Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!' 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.' ”
VERY clear here-
Acts 15:15 And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: 16 'After this I will return And will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, And I will set it up; 17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, Even all the Gentiles who are called by My name, Says the Lord who does all these things.'

Jodi Lee,
All the old testament passages you cited were fulfilled BEFORE Christ's first coming. The prophecies cited in the two passages in Acts were concerned only with the elect of Israel in that generation. The tabernacle of David was built byt the apostles and has been completed.Irene said:

They finally will see and do what God intended to do in the first place.God finished with Israel when He made their house desolate. The grafting in of Israel was completed BEFORE the apostolic age came to a close. And Georg's “Jewish” friend is a Jew only by name and is not a descendant of Abraham. Israel's own law says that a “Jew” is one whose mother is a Jew.
All people are one blood now and no man can trace his lineage back to Abraham anymore than anyone else. Since they were scattered into all nations in AD70 they intermarried with gentiles. Therefore, we all are just as “Jewish” as the next guy. Therefore, there is no distinct Jewish race.
3, p. 50, 1971 edition) This statement is in a “Jewish” Encyclopedia. They know they are no longer a dictinct race. Yet the myth continues:
Collier's Encyclopedia:
Quote “A common error and persistent myth is the designation of the Jews as a 'race'. This is scientifically fallacious, from the standpoint of both physical and historical tradition” (1977, vol. 13 p. 573) You ladies continue to perpetuate the myth and you should brush up on your anthropology.

Greetings princess,
All biblical interpretation must be in accord with the historical facts. Jesus said that Israel's house would be left desolate and it was. Israel in the Revelation was indeed Israel as you say. But the prophecies in the Revelation about them were fulfilled BEFORE their house was made desolate.Anthropological studies confirm that we all have some blood connection to those Jews. Therefore, there is no distinct Jewish race. A “Jew” today is simply one who has adopted the Jewish religion. And keep in mind that their religion is not the religion of Moses or of Jesus or of the apostles. They are a cult. ALL men are of one blood and ALL are descendants of Abraham by faith alone and ALL have the same promise of salvation by faith. All else is a false gospel.
There are no Jews and there are no Gentiles. Everyone is of one blood.

Welcome to Heaven net. Yes, indeed Rev. 7 talks about the Children of Israel. All forty four thousand of them. And God has always loved His People and will finally do in the Millenium which He wanted to do to begin with. Are you an Israelite.
Peace and Love Irene
Irene,
All in the Revelation has been fulfilled including the “millennium.” When you left the Catholic church you exchanged on error for another.thinker
Again you are so wrong. There is no evidence of that present. After the Millennium people will know that Christ had returned. It would be in all the History Books. Nothing like that has been reported.
Irene
John said that the things in the Revelation would “shortly” take place (Rev. 1:1). The Christians in the seven churches of Asia saw Christ's second coming. “Shortly” means “shortly.”thinker

Quote All biblical interpretation must be in accord with the historical facts. disagree, earthly matters cannot compare to spiritual ones.
Quote There are no Jews and there are no Gentiles. agreed, he only sees us in spirit, so there is no distinction. it is when all come together in the same spirit what is written will come to pass.
Quote Everyone is of one blood. disagree, we are not of the same blood we are of the same spirit.
and if you feel that man cannot keep scripture in tact, what would make you think they can keep history in tact?
August 16, 2009 at 4:52 pm#141152princess of the kingParticipantbessed be Irene, you came out of the choas, truly the unclean spirits that run rampat in their delusion, that is a battle only won by spirit and truth.

So if shortly means shortly then forever means forever. Forever is used several times and it is not forever. You have no prove. Shortly does not always mean shortley just like forever.
Maybe I should give you a short answer too, like Nick does.
This is what I did, after your last post.Irene
