There are some good hearted people, that are born in other religions and do not know Christ, because of circumstances. God looks into the heart remember.  He is a fair judge. So not all non christians will be destroyed, as some have the gift of Love inside them, and love can cover a multitude of sins.  Love is the main ingredient we need to become a saint. But once we know the truth, and the scriptures, if we happen to fall away, there is a harsher punishment as we have no excuse.
