    Good Morning All,

    The Word,

    Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Luke 24:34 Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon….39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

1 John 1:1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us😉

    Very clear,

The Word that was from the beginning that was WITH the Father is eternal life.

Galatians 6:For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

The Word that was from the beginning, Eternal Life, which was With the Father, is also the Father as He is eternal and from His Spirit comes our eternal life.

The resurrected Jesus was God’s Word of eternal life, God’s Word made true in the flesh. The people saw him and handled him, a man with eternal life. They saw God’s Word fulfilled in him.

    Good Morning All,

    Biblical facts,

God’s WORD before the world began was eternal life and that WORD that was WITH the Father from the beginning as we are directly told was manifested to us in Jesus.

This occurred when Jesus’s flesh was brought back to life not even seeing decay, raised immortal unto eternal life.  He was a witness to many of this WORD from the beginning made true in the flesh.

Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Jesus had received the Spirit where it came down like a dove upon him, called an anointing, where he was THEN SENT out into the world, such was also God’s word made true in the flesh. We also read that it was through the eternal Spirit that came upon him that he offered himself up to death, as Jesus said, he could do nothing of himself.

Additionally we read in Galatians 6:8, that from the Spirit we reap eternal life.

Thus we KNOW WITHOUT ANY DOUBT  what  John 1:1 represents,

1 In the beginning was the Word (eternal life which comes through YHVH’s Spirit), and the Word (eternal life which comes through YHVH’s Spirit) was with God, and the Word was God (for YHVH is eternal and through His Spirit He brings forth eternal life).

We read directly in 1 John 1 that the WORD eternal life was from the beginning, we read in Titus 1 that it was even promised before the world was. We also read from scripture that it is through God’s Spirit we reap eternal life and it was through that Spirit that Jesus went to the cross, which was according to God’s determined purpose and foreknowledge that he was slain.

We are also told, Isaiah 46:10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:

Thus we also know without any doubt who the rest of the chapter of John 1 is speaking about, for in the WORD of eternal life that was from the beginning was the one man who would bring it forth and be the first to receive that WORD.

John 1 does an excellent job of revealing to us that Jesus is the Son of Man of God’s Word, the promised son of David to whom God would be a Father to and settle him into His kingdom and make him into an eternal king. He does a great job of declaring that Jesus is the promised Messiah.

2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by (by reason of) him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

If YHVH’s purpose was eternal life which would come through His Eternal Spirit upon Jesus, then all things would be made by reason of Jesus, and nothing would have been made that was made without him.

4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Isaiah 11 and 42 tells us that the Eternal Spirit comes to dwell in a Son of Man, the son of Jesse, he is called to righteousness and that he is for a LIGHT. Paul tells us that the Spirit is life because of righteousness. We are also told in Isaiah 53 that Jesus would be rejected.

6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by (by reason of) him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Jesus means YHVH is salvation and we know that through YHVH’s Eternal Spirit that descended upon him like a dove, An ANOINTING, that he brings forth the salvation and eternal life of YHVH’s WORD. Paul teaches us that those who are led by the Spirit of God are the Sons of God and it is the Spirit that bears witness to our spirit that we are children of God and if children then heirs of God joint heirs with The ANOINTED, promised to be made in the Sons image that he might be a firstborn of many brethren.

13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

We read in Luke 4 Jesus declaring God’s Word from the prophet Isaiah being made true in him. Jesus a man of flesh comes up from the water and has the Spirit come down to dwell in him just as God’s word had promised, where then Jesus tells us he is then sent to SPEAK God’s TRUTH and perform miracles. Later in Chapter 3 from John we read,  “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” “For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

I will continue going through the rest of John 1 in future posts.

Jodi, I, transfered this from your last post to Mike, because i thought it is so important for everyone to read…….Micah 5:2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days. 3 Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. 4 And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the LORD, in the majesty of the name of the LORD his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth.

Mike said,…, : Would you agree that the most straightforward reading of Micah 5:2 tells of a future ruler who has already been around for a long time?

Jodi replied: Actually no, reading it straight forward I see, from you  (Judah) shall “come forth” a ruler in Israel, which would be a prophecy, then reading,  “whose coming forth” is from of old, from ancient days, tells me that the “coming forth” was not a new prophecy,  it was God’s word even from ancient of days.

But knowing that the “forth” in the first instance is a different word than the second “forth”, I understand it differently.  The first represents to go forth while the second is speaking of origin.

Like I said, we are given the origin of Jesus in Matthew 1, which is Abraham and Abraham unto God is most certainly a very important historical figure being of ancient days where long ago God made a covenant with Abraham where through him all nations would be blessed.  We read just after in verse 3,  Judah, Jesus’s brethren, returning to the children of Israel, where we know Jesus of Judah will rule over them all, all of Abraham’s children.  We then read in verse 4, that Jesus will be great unto the ends of the earth, all nations, not just the children of Israel will be blessed through this ruler, God’s ancient covenant with Abraham fulfilled.  This is exactly why Micah prior tells us that the ruler that is to come, his origin is of old, his origin is of Abraham to which through his seed all nations would be blessed.

I had an inkling and so I checked and found this gem,

Micah 7:19 He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 20 Thou wilt perform the truth to Jacob, and the mercy to Abraham, which thou hast sworn unto our fathers from the days of old.

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation (GENESIS/ORIGIN) of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

Micah 5 verses 3 and 4 should tell you without a doubt that the origin spoken of in verse 2, of the man who would be ruler of Israel, represents Abraham. Jesus of the tribe of Judah as ruler over all nations, ORIGINATED from God’s covenant with Abraham concerning his seed.

    Hope you didn’t mind Jodi.

Peace and love to you and yours Jodi………..gene

    Hi Berean,

Seems to me that you are misinterpreting Rev 19:13 because you are ignoring the surrounding text and then you are using that false interpretation to support your belief.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and HE HAD A NAME WRITTEN, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called the word of God. 14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh A NAME WRITTEN, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

The name WRITTEN is King of kings and Lord of lords, such a name is rightfully called the word of God, because such is God’s word to be fulfilled in Jesus when God fulfills another prophecy concerning him, his second coming.

Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of YHVH shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of YHVH; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of YHVH: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Jeremiah 23:5 Behold, the days come, SAITH YHVH, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

    Berean, very simple,

Does the surrounding text of Rev 19:13 speak to YHVH’s WORD OF PROPHECY concerning what Jesus accomplishes as King of kings and Lord of lords? Yes, it most clearly does, I made it readily visible for you to see with blue highlighting.

We are given in Rev 19 the word of God from OT prophets concerning the King of kings as to what he will accomplish as such, we are told that there is a name WRITTEN, we are told that the name is called the word of God, then we are given further the word of God from OT prophets concerning the King of kings and then we are told that the name that is WRITTEN is King of kings and Lord of lords

The name written, King of kings and Lord of lords can rightfully be called the word of God, because it IS THE WORD OF GOD spoken by the prophets and then declared again in Revelation 19, where much PROPHESY has been given concerning what Jesus Christ does as ruler over the entire world.

Berean, as said, you are pulling verse 13 out of it’s surrounding context and misinterpreting it and then using it to try and prove your belief.
