    Hi mandy,
Every day here we see scripture twisted to produce the required doctrine.
There are even two or three verses that say there is no God[in part]
    egPs 14, Ps 53

Proper, patient, prayerful respectful study of scripture comparing verse with verse and context with context and searching for witnessing verses will instead produce truth.

    Eph.2:8-10

8 For in grace, through faith, are you saved, and this is not out of you; it is God's approach present,
9 not of works, lest anyone should be boasting.
10 For His achievement are we, being created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God makes ready beforehand, that we should be walking in them.

    Blessings.

    Hi CO,
Indeed grace and peace comes through Jesus Christ.
But grace is not given to all proud men.

    1 Peter 5:5
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

    James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

    Hi CO,
The apostles following Jesus were filled with grace.
    Acts 4:33
And with great power the apostles were giving testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was upon them all.

    Acts 6:8
And Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and signs among the people.

    Acts 13:43
Now when the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the grace of God.

But grace is also needed to believe
    Acts 18:27
And when he wanted to go across to Achaia, the brethren encouraged him and wrote to the disciples to welcome him; and when he had arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace,

No scripture speaks of grace given to unbelievers except the grace to REPENT

    Acts 5:31
” He is the one whom God exalted to His right hand as a Prince and a Savior, to grant repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

    This is for ALL

    2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.

Nick, you say, “No scripture speaks of grace given to unbelievers except grace to repent”.
No need to repent, when grace is given to unbelievers, they BELIEVE! All is of God, nothing is of man.(lest we should boast)
    Blessings.

    Hi CO,
But grace is only given to some.
    Some believe.

    All must repent.

    Hi Nick,
You seem to think that Christs sacrifice was not sufficient for remission of the sins of the world. Can you answer me…Did Christ die for only partial justification, or complete justification of all? If we still have to repent, you must believe that His sacrifice was not sufficient. I would be afraid to stand before the living God and say, His sacrifice was not good enough to wipe away my sin, but don't worry, I repented, that should do the trick. Oh how I could boast at what I did. Wouldn't God be pleased.

    Blessings.

    Hi CO,
    Sufficient for all.
All in him are completely justified.
But not all respond to God's offer of salvation.
    They remain in their sin.

    Hebrews 4:6
Therefore, since it remains for some to enter it, and those who formerly had good news preached to them failed to enter because of disobedience,

Hebrews is what the title says, thats to who it is written. See the confusion when the truth is not correctly cut?

    Hi Co,
    Heb2
1Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

    2For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;

    3How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;

4God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?

Those that neglect the message of Christ and the apostles face a future without hope.

    Hi Nick.
    Heb.1:1-2

By many portions and many modes, of old, God, speaking to the fathers in the prophets,
2 in the last of these days speaks to us in a Son, …

If you correctly cut the word of truth, who do you think this is speaking of? What does “in the last of these days” mean to you? Correctly cut, these two questions should be an easy question. Will you answer, or post a a non-answer as usual?

    Blessings.

    Hi CO,

    Number 2254
    Transliteration:
    hemin {hay-meen'}
    Word Origin:
    dative case plural of 1473
    Part of Speech:
    pronoun
    Usage in the KJV:
    us 161, we 13, our 2, for us 1

    Total: 177
    Definition:
    us, we, our
    Number 2078
    Transliteration:
    eschatos {es'-khat-os}
    Word Origin:
a superlative probably from 2192 (in the sense of contiguity)
    TDNT:
    2:697,264
    Part of Speech:
    adjective
    Usage in the KJV:
    last 46, lowest 2, uttermost 2, last state 2, ends 1, latter end 1

    Total: 54
    Definition:
    extreme
last in time or in place
last in a series of places
    last in a temporal succession
    the last
    last, referring to time
of space, the uttermost part, the end, of the earth
of rank, grade of worth, last i.e. lowest

So in the last days Christ, the son and prophet of God has brought the good news of salvation unto all men. Those who repent and obey the message are reborn as sons and daughters of the most High God. The letters of Paul and the apostles are written to them to teach and encourage and warn them.

All men have the choice and are called.

But those who refuse to listen and obey remain under the wrath of God.

    Nick,
I don't know what all the jibberish is about, but the answer to the questions are incorrect.
    Here are the answers:

Though the title, “Hebrews” is not inspired, the opening strain shows that this epistle is addressed to Israelites “whose are the fathers” (Ro. 9:5), and who alone had the oracles of God. No author is given. This is an inspired omission. It is a grave mistake to seek to supply one. It is fatal to put Paul's name here, for his ministries are distinct from and above all that this epistle has for the Hebrews.

2 The Son is the Speaker to Whom the Hebrews are directed. His glories, as they relate to the kingdom and their blessing, is the great theme of the epistle. Beginning with a brilliant cluster, showing His relationship to God, He is given a place superior to angels, and to all the great figures in Hebrew history.

Hope this clears things up for you.

    Blessings.

    Hi CO,
Did I say Paul was the author? No. It may have been written by Barnabus.
The book of Hebrews is one particularly helpful to those of Jewish background and also to us who are ignorant of Jewish rituals. The Son is the last of those used as God's mouthpiece for truth.

    Nick.
Discussing one thread with you is trying enough, I have enough trouble trying to defend myself from your false accusations, that you refuse to prove when asked. Trying to have a sane conversation with you is like trying to catch a greesed pig, you don't continue to answer any questions when asked, jumping back and forth so as not to be pinned down when proven wrong. Thats why I am declining to continue with any dialog with you. It has been interesting, but futile.

    God Bless.

    Hi,
Though fault was found in Job he was admirable in never judging God.

    Jb1
4And his sons went and feasted in their houses, every one his day; and sent and called for their three sisters to eat and to drink with them.

5And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

21And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

22In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.
