Hi H,
You said in another thread
'2b] I have come to understand the first resurrection as being the judgment of believers — “judgment must begin at God's house.” so that at the second resurrection, it includes the bodies of those who'd died during the millenium and those who died without hearing about Christ – and “if any man's name was not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life” they are cast into the lake of fire. This means that some of them are going to be saved. “Yes.
The saved face the tribunal of Christ.
All must be raised and God shows mercy to the merciful in the white throne judgement.August 5, 2008 at 10:03 pm#100276NickHassanParticipantFor Georg,
Two resurrections
Jn5
ONE
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.25Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
26For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;
TWO
27And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.28Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

So you say that the seventh trumpet sounded in 1900.
The first resurrection occurred then in your opinion and we had no chance to be in it?September 6, 2009 at 6:57 pm#144695NickHassanParticipantHi,
For GT.
heb 4.1f speaks of the first resurrection and Jn 5 contains both as well as Rev20.September 6, 2009 at 8:20 pm#144710GeneBalthropParticipantTo All ….who here has not done good and evil. Now if you and I have done evil, are we then going to be resurrected and thrown into a lake of Fire, as the self righteous would like you to think, are we that believe in Christ who have done good and evil going to be saved while other who have done good and evil going to be cast into a literial burning fire. The whole world lies in darkness and wickedness and they are blind and can't see. But some would have you believe that our Just GOD would Kill those and rescue them, who are just as evil as they are. Most have never ever had a first chance much less a second one. DO not believe these dome and gloom preachers , who have no idea of the Power and (WILL) of GOD nor His power to save. “God has (concluded (ALL) under sin that (HE) might have mercy on (ALL)”> That mercy is for (ALL) not just a picky few, as they would like you to believe. Why is it gloomy to speak of the lake of fire when it should not be relevant for us?
Would you offer to improve on the ways of God?September 6, 2009 at 9:02 pm#144729GeneBalthropParticipantNIck………..Not on the ways of GOD, but on your ways maybe. You ask why is it gloomy to speak of the lake of fire when it should not be relevant for us, But you see it is relevant for us (all) if (any) should parish, your attitude does not show one of Love for others Nick. Your supposed to have the love of GOD shed around in your heart Nick. WE are told to “not judge anything before the time”, its best if we stick to that and let GOD do the Judging as to who (IF) any is to be destroyed in a literial lake of FIRE. Lets preach the positive thing that pertain to life and the abundant life of what is good for all men and women and what makes for peace and love and patience and whatsoever is of a (GOOD) report. Surely if we have GOD'S Spirit we should preach these things right?, I have heard enough doom and gloom and fear tactics to last a hundred life times. It helps no body to focus on evil focus on what is GOOD. IMO
peace and love to you and yours……………….gene

So if we have the love of God we will alter the righteous judgements of God?September 6, 2009 at 9:21 pm#144736GeneBalthropParticipantNick……….who said that? We certainly won't alter His righteous Judgments , but we will never leave of HIS Mercy, for (all) either. Go figure what this means , ” for mercy wrestles against Judgment”, and ” I will have mercy instead of sacrifice. Here is something you can judge Nick, that you lay no stumping block on those out of the way> FOR it is better for a mill stone to be tied around your neck and be cast into the sea then to cause one of these little one to be offended (prevented). IMO

Indeed we do not upset the faith of the sheep of God.
But they do not fear the wrath of God being shepherded by the Son.
But the rest of mankind need to wake up before the Judgements of God descend on them.September 6, 2009 at 10:20 pm#144757wisslewjParticipantNick
have them read some of deuters chapter 28 (i think) on the curses for disobedience and also I think its leviticus. After reading about wasting diseases and such, a desire for obedience should follow!
Also, one thing we have learned here is WHY god wants obedience. Beyond just holiness, its for our own good! When we sin, the demons have a right to us. When they speak during a deliverance, they will tell you, we are here because of unforgiveness, anger, etc (basically many different sins.).
Obedience keeps you in gods grace and not the laws punishment and enforcers. ! cor 10:10 is a good example. Grumbling brought the Destroyer and they were laid low.

Death seemed attractive to him for the sake of freedom[2Cor4-5]September 6, 2009 at 10:34 pm#144766wisslewjParticipantnick,
we are told to be holy and perfect though which means it must be possible. I am not saying its easy but I dont think god would tell us to be if it was impossible. But even if we err we have an advocate with the father and according to 1 john 1:9 we are cleansed and “perfect” once more.
So just be fast to repent when we err!

Both resurrections are spoken of in Jn5
They are separated by 1000 years.first- Spirit of life

The works of mercy are only to the brothers of Jesus[Mt25]November 10, 2009 at 3:53 pm#155883georgParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Nov. 27 2005,06:47) Hi,
The first resurrection;
Jn 5.25
“Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live”
” the sheep follow him because they know his voice” Jn 10.4
“But if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” Rom 8.11The second resurrection;
Jn 5.28f
“Do not marvel at this;for an hour is coming in which ALL who are in the tombs will hear his voice, and will come forth;those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgement”So whose voice will be heard by those in the first resurrection? The Son of God's by those in whom the Spirit of God still dwells.
And whose voice will bring up the dead at the second resurrection? The Son of God's will be heard by all.
So looking at 1Thess 4.16
” For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God
and
the dead in Christ will rise first”The voice of the Archangel relates to the return of Christ and not the raising of the dead.
NickI don't know if you are confused, or if you're confusing yourself by what you believe.
The first resurrection is for the saints only, those that will rule and reign with Christ here on earth.
The second resurrection is for all the rest, “ALL” that are in their graves. Did not Jesus say he has the key to “hell (grave) and death”? (Rev. 1:18) It is by his call that the dead will be released from their graves, during the millennium (I know, you don't believe that).
There are two things that you obviously don't take in consideration.
ONE; If as you have else were stated, the dead will be judged by there works; WHAT WORKS?
TWO; if therefore, there is nothing that can save them; why resurrect them in the first place?Georg
