We still can not serve idols.
We still can not break the law.

Sin is the transgression of the law.
If we love God we should not transgress the law.
We worship God with our hearts. With our love for God,
And we can have mercy.

Let me make myself more clear. To disobey Christ's instructions, and the apostles instructions after reading them and knowing them, is like returning to ones own vomit. We will end up in that same state…dirty, unwashed, uncleaned, defiled, covered with sin all over again.

You said to disobey is like going back to the law (the old covenant), I know what you mean, it's like going backwards, but I was just pointing out that we gentiles were never under the law in the first place. We start at Christ. The starting point.
I was just making a comment, not looking for a fight.
Lets have peace.

To love God's laws is to obey him. He wants us to obey, for disobedience is the opposite. There are plenty of laws in the nt, and are all for our guidance. Sometimes we are in situations and don't know what to do…..well we have been instructed now, and have something to follow so we do not err in spirit.

now God says about the Jews under the law ;that their hearts where far away from God ” so obeying God because you feel that you have to for your own interest does not and will not work ,

but if we learn to trust and love our father and God then we obey not for interest but for the right reasons of all righteousness ,just as Christ showed us
