I'm saying that the Father and Son abide within the Spirit. Idk this topic is giving me a headache.

Belief or disbelief in the Trinity is not essential to Salvation. I will add that there is only one God.

  Stick around!

    Wow – a new Trinity thread! :D
Can't wait to check it out tonight.

    Chap,
Hi.  Thanks for starting this thread.  I can tell you that there are NO scriptures in the bible that “prove” the Trinity is true.  There was one a long time ago……..1 John 5:7 that would have cinched the deal for the cause of the Trinity doctrine……..but then it was realized it was added by a bias scribe.

No verse says that God is three persons!  I will say it again, NO VERSE SAYS THAT GOD IS THREE PERSONS.

    Why believe it?

The plural in the verses gave me the impression that the Trinity existed, that's all.

    Hi ACC,
You still speak with the voice of a stranger quoting the speculations of men.
Check whether you have the necessary witnesses in heaven.

    1Jn 5
“6This is he who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7For there are three that testify: 8the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. 9If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 10Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I was only trying to see if the trinity was real or not.

What verse in the Bible says that there is no God?

    Hi ACC,
Here are two which can be read IN part, showing how men can abuse what is written
    “Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
    Psalm 14:1
The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

    Kejonn,

I sincerely hope that you stick around long enough to hear from everyone. “Finding out if the Trinity is true” will take longer than reading through a few (or many) posts.

I read somewhere here that this site is a “hard hat” area! And to some degree it is true. You have to be strong enough to visit your beliefs and be objective. Trying to see others views only helps you define your own view.

I really hope to see you for a long while……. I am also trying to figure out what is true; you are not alone on your search.

    Hi ACC,
    Try Mk 12
27He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

28And one of the scribes came, and having heard them reasoning together, and perceiving that he had answered them well, asked him, Which is the first commandment of all?

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

30And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

I was only trying to see if the trinity was real or not.

If each of these four precepts are biblically true, then the trinity is true:

    1. The Heavenly Father of Jesus is true God
    2. The Son (Jesus) is true God
    3. The Holy Spirit is true God
    4. There is only one true God

Nick, Not3, Kenrch, Tim….which one is untrue? and why?

    Hi Is 1.18,
    Why depend on weak logic?
    Logic will convince no believer.
    We believe what is written

    Acts 5:3-4
3But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? 4″While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”

    1 Corinthians 3:16-17
16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? 17If any man destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him, for the temple of God is holy, and that is what you are.

    Ephesians 4:6
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

These scriptures put it in the plainest language imaginable…..

    The Holy Spirit is God.
