Every man wants to forge his own way.
Better to follow the gospel of Christ.Lk 24
” 46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48And ye are witnesses of these things.
49And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
Are you saying that I'm not following the gospel of Christ?June 29, 2007 at 8:11 pm#57070NickHassan
ParticipantHi ACC,
Then why would you make the Spirit of God another person?June 29, 2007 at 8:11 pm#57071acertainchap
ParticipantI was simply attempting to prove the Trinity's existence, which belief or disbelief in I might add, is not essential to Salvation.

You teacher says
“Hand out one of the following to each member, then take each verse up one at a time. Each member must read a verse, then verbally fill in the chart. If agreement is reached by all, then write in the answers and move on to the next verse. ”Note how belief in what is not written is insisted upon.
Note how man's doctrine becomes the foundation.Read Heb 6 as Paul specifies the foundations.
1Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,2Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
3And this will we do, if God permit.
So you say that I'm wrong to believe in Christ as Savior and to keep the Commandments to obtain Salvation?
Chap,You don't keep the commandments to get saved you keep the commandment because you are saved.

ParticipantI'm saying that the Father and Son abide within the Spirit. Idk this topic is giving me a headache.
Belief or disbelief in the Trinity is not essential to Salvation. I will add that there is only one God.

ParticipantHi ACC,
Seek first the kingdom. You need to be reborn to see the kingdom.
Nothing else matters till you are safe in Christ.
Then the Spirit of God will dissolve these speculations. To not do so is to follow men.

ParticipantHi ACC,
God is one.
Gos sent His Son.
Satan has muddied the water.Trust the Word.
Jn 17
“17Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. “
2Jn
” 7For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.8Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.
9Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
Leave speculations behind.

Hi ACC,
He did not teach it.
So where did it come from?June 29, 2007 at 8:18 pm#57079acertainchap
ParticipantI am safe in Christ why do you assume that I'm not?

ParticipantHi CO,
Start again. Read the bible.
You will find no trinity written there.
Then seek this day Whom you will serve.June 29, 2007 at 8:19 pm#57081acertainchap
ParticipantThose 58 verses refer to God in plural, so that's why I thought that.
June 29, 2007 at 8:20 pm#57083acertainchap
ParticipantExplain to me why these 58 verses are in plural that's what has been giving me an impression that the Trinity exists.

ParticipantHi ACC,
I can show you three verses that, in part, say there is no God.
You can quote the enemies of Jesus to say many terrible lies about him.
Do not trust any man but read the bible, be reborn of water and the Spirit and follow Christ.Men hate God.

ParticipantHi ACC,
Is God one or not?
Jesus said so.June 29, 2007 at 8:24 pm#57086acertainchap

ParticipantWow – a new Trinity thread!
Can't wait to check it out tonight.Chap,
Hi. Thanks for starting this thread. I can tell you that there are NO scriptures in the bible that “prove” the Trinity is true. There was one a long time ago……..1 John 5:7 that would have cinched the deal for the cause of the Trinity doctrine……..but then it was realized it was added by a bias scribe. No verse says that God is three persons! I will say it again, NO VERSE SAYS THAT GOD IS THREE PERSONS.
Why believe it?

ParticipantGod is real.

ParticipantHi ACC,
You still speak with the voice of a stranger quoting the speculations of men.
Check whether you have the necessary witnesses in heaven.1Jn 5
“6This is he who came by water and blood–Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7For there are three that testify: 8the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. 9If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 10Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. - AuthorPosts
