ParticipantQuote (Not3in1 @ May 29 2007,18:05) I received an email from “Music4two” and then it was signed “Martian.” I wasn't sure but when I went back and checked, I remembered correctly. Martian, if you would like to participate again, please just do so – you don't have to lie about who you are. This is a great forum and I can see why you would want to come back. If there were hard feelings before under your other name “M42” – just agree to disagree, apologize, or move on. You don't need an alias – come on back, brother.

Indeed judgement day has not come yet, we are still growing and God is still waiting

ParticipantOK, I admit that I am music4two, however i was not coming on as an alias for the purposes of deception. In fact it started out because I had deleted the site and could not remember my password. At the same time, I was having computer problems and could not even get into my email boxes to recieve them. I now have a new computer that actually works.
I was embarased for some of my behaviour and name calling. I also did not want to engage with certain ones who (in my oppinion) are not open to truth. When I left I went to another site I had been on before and found that debating with or on a fully Christian site was worse then here. I have also been counseled to get a life and get off the boards. I have partially tried to do that. Th9s is the purpose of my not being on so very much.
If those on here can truly fogive my seeming deception, I will consider doing some posting. If I feel this is to held against me I will just delete the site. Perhaps that would be best anyway. I will have to think about it.

My brother,
It took a lot of courage for you to write this post and admit the things that you did. I have respect for you because of this. I believe you did the right thing, and sometimes that is the very thing that is hard to do – you and Paul – and the rest of the world – have something in common!
WELCOME BACK, MARTIAN!
Post and share; and yes, get a life! Ha! I also have wondered if spending so much time here is healthy. But this board has become so much help to me in finding scriptures and defending the truth that I know….I'm really thankful for this site. It is hard to “balance” seeking after truth and living the truth (out there – away from our computers!) You are not alone. I work from home and so it is very easy for me to pop over to this site for a while and then do some work, and then pop back to see who's saying what! Ha!
I encourage us both today – let our light shine out there where people can see it.

God bless you, Martian. Thank you for your honesty. You will be a huge witness to others who may be hiding in whatever area of their lives…..

ParticipantI received a letter from an area pastor who said there are attempts to “modernize” the Trinity – to replace the typical formula with: Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. He says that proponents of this change argue that removing the exclusively masculine language for God with neutral language is more inclusive. Then he goes on to tell me that when Jesus taught us to pray to God as our Father, he was not implying that God is male. What do my Trinitarian brothers/sisters (except for Tim2 who doesn't want to be my brother
) think about this?June 4, 2007 at 6:13 am#54552Worshipping Jesus

not3I think that these are the last days, and Jesus said there would be false Christ (anointed ones) rising up and if it were possible to decieve he would decieve the very elect.

Hi Brother:I am glad that you may be posting some more of your understanding of scriptures on this site. I personally learned a lot from your teachings.
I believe that you left because Nick aggravated you. Well I am sure that you are not the first who has been aggravated with him. All of us as Christians are tested in this way or that in order that we might learn to apply the Word of God in our daily life. Remember all of the insults that our Lord endured for our sakes.
We all make mistakes, and I honestly believe that your leaving the way that you did was a mistake, and if you agree, just acknowledge this and ask forgiveness both of the Lord and the people of are the Administrators of this site. All of us need to learn to say I'm sorry, please forgive me.
God Bless you brother, thanks for sharing your knowledge of the scriptures with me.

ParticipantHi I am taking a religion class and having a difficult time with this topic…can anyone help?
Although the use of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is traditional, it is not the only way to validly express one’s elief in a Triune God. Other expressions of the Trinity have been also used by religious persons. Some of these are “Lover, Beloved, Love” and “Creator, Savior, Inspirer.” Decide on your own expression of the Trinity and explain what are its advantages and disadvantages in regard to the traditional expression. Be Creative.
Thanks!!June 5, 2007 at 6:00 pm#54842NickHassan
ParticipantHi and welcome student,
Since trinity finds no place in scripture the best description of it is DEATH.June 5, 2007 at 6:01 pm#54843Not3in1
ParticipantHi Student and welcome!
This topic has come up recently. A pastor friend of mine sent me a letter in which he told me that some are trying to “modernize” the Trinity teaching by changing it to more inclusive langage (such as you pointed out). Further, they want to do away with all masculinity of the Trinity altogether. They say that when Jesus prayed to the “Father” he wasn't implying that the “Father” was male.
Goodness. I don't know how you feel about this, but I am appauled and yet not surprised.
I believe that religion has been trying to diminish God from the beginning. By trying to make him something he is not (or more than he is, in the case of the Trinity), and now by robbing him of “his” own nature. Words start to make nonesense after a while, don't they? If words mean anything…..then a Father is male.
Pretty soon there will be a church called, “Anything Goes Chapel” and everyone will want to be a member.

ParticipantStudent,
You've come to the wrong place. This is not a Christian website. It is a wicked pagan website full of heretics and blasphemers who deny that Jesus is one with the Father. Your best bet is to flee from this website, block it from your computer, and never come back. Instead, talk to the pastor and elders of your church, and read the Christian classics on the Trinity by Athanasius, Hillary of Poitiers, Gregory of Nyssa, and Augustine.

In other words: don't think for yourself. Don't ever question. Don't wonder and ponder the Word of God. Don't ever read anything that isn't officially from the Church. Don't look at the other side of the coin. Do fear.OR, you can simply trust that God has you in his hand and as a child of God, you are free to ask questions and wonder about things.
Trust me, you won't lose your salvation for checking out other's beliefs.
Tim2 is motivated by fear only. Just watch his posts and you will see how he is afraid to be attacked, and yet he freely attacks. It's sad. Don't let him sour you, Student.
Be a student. Learn. Explore. Discover who God is. Have Fun! May you grow in your depth of insight

Tim2………chill out, brother.
