Quote (Nick Hassan @ Jan. 03 2008,21:36) Quote (Towshab @ Jan. 04 2008,14:28) Hey Nick, Regardless of what you say about me, you say you believe the OT is 100% true. So tell me, why don't YOU believe it?
Hi tow,
All true.
Often misunderstood.
Frequently misused
but all true. Now what about you?
If the OT is 100% true why did Jesus not fulfill a single messianic prophecy?January 4, 2008 at 4:00 am#159509NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
Many are fulfilled and the rest will be fulfilled.
Read the NT and see what he did.
God anointed His son.
He did the loving works of God.
He spoke the words of God and those who believe
find for themselves they are true.
He is truth and life.January 4, 2008 at 4:08 am#159510TowshabParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Jan. 03 2008,22:00) Hi tow,

Quote Read the NT and see what he did. I have many times. That is why I know he was not King Messiah!
Quote God anointed His son. Zeus or Jupiter?
Quote He did the loving works of God.
He spoke the words of God and those who believe
find for themselves they are true.
He is truth and life.
Prove it using Tanakh. For a man who worships his bible, you sure don't list much about the actual bible.

January 4, 2008 at 12:00 pm#159513TowshabParticipantChristianity tries to show that the Torah (called the “Law” in the GT) was incomplete and that it was flawed because no one could perfectly obey it. What does Tanakh say? From the Christian ESV:
=====================================
Deu 30:11 “For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off.
Deu 30:12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, 'Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?'
Deu 30:13 Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, 'Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?'
Deu 30:14 But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.Psa 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
Psa 12:7 You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple;
Psa 19:8 the precepts of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes;Psa 119:7 I will praise you with an upright heart, when I learn your righteous rules.
Psa 119:8 I will keep your statutes; do not utterly forsake me!
Psa 119:9 How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
Psa 119:10 With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!
Psa 119:11 I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.Psa 119:98 Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me.
Psa 119:99 I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation.
Psa 119:100 I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts.Psa 119:160 The sum of your word is truth, and every one of your righteous rules endures forever.
====================================Well, so much for the imperfect and incomplete theory.
January 4, 2008 at 5:34 pm#159514NickHassanParticipantHi Tow,
The Torah is not incomplete but as the Word of God it is faithfully recorded and diligently analysed and studied. However the OT is unable to be fully understood without the less well looked after NT.January 4, 2008 at 5:42 pm#159515TowshabParticipantTell the Jews than the Tanakh cannot be understood without the GT . I want to hear them laugh as they rip your theory apart.
January 4, 2008 at 6:01 pm#159516NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
How sad many were so lost in observances and human religion and so unaware of it's transient value in the plan of God that they missed the God of love visiting them. Instead those who were leaders and who served their evil father, the one who was a murderer from the beginning, murdered the saviour. But God will draw the remnant of His chosen people back to Him and they will look on the one they have pierced and mourn for him.

Quote Instead those who were leaders and who served their evil father, the one who was a murderer from the beginning, murdered the saviour. It was this kind of anti-semitism that came from the GT which resulted in the death of so many Jews. If you had been around hundreds of years ago, I bet you'd be one burning Jews at the stake.

Hi tow,
It was the jewish LEADERS who failed God.
You should not be led by men but by the appointed Lord of all.
Christ lives still.

January 4, 2008 at 6:44 pm#159521NickHassanParticipantHi tow,
The deficiency is in sinful men unable to perfectly obey the perfect Word without the help of the Spirit.
Now Christ has come and opened the doors of heaven to give that Spirit to all who seek.
All things are possible and we can do all things by Him Who strengthens us.January 4, 2008 at 6:54 pm#159522TowshabParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Jan. 04 2008,12:44) Hi tow,
