The body his the physical part of our soul ,but his not our soul ,just like the body of a car is not the car ,it's only for a model or shape ,

The spirit of men his his mind ,with all the feelings the imosions, character ,personality ect… But the soul is given by God to all living creatures ,but it as nothing on it ,it like a slate we can wipe it Clean or make it worthy of the Gehenna ,oe make it a temple for God ,

    T,

I  am not sure which passages of Scripture obtained these understandings from.

The breath of life is Jehovah's breath.  A human has life before he breaths air.  For example, John the Baptist leaped in his mother's womb while but 6 months along.

    Hi Kerwin,

Gen.7:22    of all that was on dry land, all in whose nostrils was the Breath of the Spirit of Life, died.

I think the N.A.S. is the only Bible, that has this verse stated properly. Look at the interlinear.

    Peace brother.

    Abe,

They died whether in the womb or out of the womb.

    T,

Consider it was John the Baptist that recognized Mary as the mother of the Messiah, 3 months before he was born. That is living though he lacked liberty.

    K

No,you got it wrong ,the only thing you truly can say his that she was carrying a child ,but we both know that John was a human child born from a male and female ,but not so of Christ ,

And you come out of the womb wen you are ready :D

    Hi T.

23And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

I think the fish were still living, the question mark is the amphibious ones??

    let pay attention to this part of that scripture you quoted me ;

23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground,

this to me WOULD TAKE CARE OF ALL BREATHING ANIMALS INCLUDING HUMANS ;FISH DOES NOT DIE IN HIS OWN ELEMENT OF CREATION,SO ARE ALL THE THINGS THAT LIVES IN THE EARTH “” NOT ON IT “”LIKE INSECTS ,

They all die because of the water ,in witch they can not live ,because they need air (oxygen) and so what God has given as the mechanism of life was now cut off to them, and so died,
