So 94,
Rebirth does not speak just of resurrection.January 5, 2009 at 6:37 pm#116723TiffanyParticipantNick, have you ever tried it as an magician?
Georg
January 5, 2009 at 6:47 pm#116725TiffanyParticipantNo, but what Jesus was talking to Nicodemus about, was talking of a resurrection. Born AGAIN, AGAIN, AGAIN, got it; I doubt it. Born means brought forth, into life, into existence; when you die and are resurrected, you will be, pay attention, will be born again, you will receive life again, you will breath again, you can talk foolish again, Lord help us, amen.

January 5, 2009 at 7:51 pm#116732NickHassanParticipantHi Georg,
So Peter was wrong when he said in 1 Peter 1 that we have been born again?
1 Peter 1:23
for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God.1 John 2:29
If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.1 John 4:7
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.1 John 5:1
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.January 5, 2009 at 10:09 pm#116743TiffanyParticipantNick, try blowing a trumpet, you're wasting all that good wind.

Is that your response to scripture?January 5, 2009 at 10:27 pm#116747TiffanyParticipantNo, my response to you.
Why don't you stick to the subject?

January 5, 2009 at 10:34 pm#116749TiffanyParticipantNick, have you even read my post on the trumpets and bowls?

Hi Nick:And so, tell me what it means to you. There was just a question about it meaning that we are raised from the dead, and so I quoted some scriptures to show that it does mean that.

We follow the Son of God and the apostles at Pentecost seeking the blessing of Spirit baptism.

The Spirit of life gives us the hope of life eternal
Hi Nick:When we receive the Holy Spirit, we are raised from the dead (spiritual separation from God because of sin) just as Jesus was raised from the dead by the Holy Spirit. At that point, we are an new creation in Christ Jesus, a babe in Christ, born again of incorruptable seed by the Word of God, and we become like Jesus as we learn to apply the Word to our daily lives. We are not yet physically dead. Our motal bodies are quickened by Spirit of God. Our temporal body continues to detiorate daily until eventually it will die or we will be alive in this flesh body when Jesus comes for the church. The physically dead in Christ will be raised with a spiritual body, and those alive in Christ when Jesus comes for the church will be changed instantly to receive a spiritual body.
Are you still awaiting another baptism of the Holy Spirit?

January 6, 2009 at 12:36 am#116759NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
This is awaited.27And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the LORD your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.
28And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

No Nick:This has been happening since the day of Pentecost.
Quote Act 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all [ye] that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: Act 2:15 For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is [but] the third hour of the day.
Act 2:16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved

Did we miss the wonders in the heavens?

God is still on the throne, and Acts of God through His people is on-going until the end. We notice that the book of the Acts of the Apostles is the only book of the NT that does not end with the words, “Amen”.January 6, 2009 at 5:12 am#116784NickHassanParticipantHi 94,

Now that you got that settled, maybe we can come back to subject, you know, the seven trumpets, and the seven bowls; remember, I ask you a question?

So receiving new life while we live from the Spirit of life is not rebirth to you? - AuthorPosts
