Hi WJ,
Jesus was the prophet of God.
God is not a prophet.April 10, 2009 at 7:25 pm#127177NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Acts3
20And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:21Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

He spoke for GodMarch 25, 2014 at 12:44 am#374794NickHassanParticipantHi,
Acts 3
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.
25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.
26 Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

1Peter 1
Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls.10 Of which salvation the prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
Jesus was a prophet
IN HIM was the Spirit of ChristJune 5, 2014 at 8:33 pm#387239NickHassanParticipantHi,
Acts 3:21
Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began. The Father spoke through Jesus .
So did the Spirit of Christ.January 20, 2018 at 4:52 pm#820934NickHassanParticipantHi,
When he entered Jerusalem, all the city was stirred saying
”Who is this?”
And the crowds were saying,
”This is the prophet Jesus, from Nazareth in Galilee.”

January 20, 2018 at 6:03 pm#820935NickHassanParticipantHi,
So the common people knew that God spoke through his prophets.
Only their religious leaders and the deceived believe he claimed to be God.
January 21, 2018 at 8:59 am#820938NickHassanParticipantHi,
Jesus said John was the greatest of the prophets, and more than a prophet as the one who prepared the way.
He also said those in him were greater than John the Baptist
The Son of God is above all the servants of God.
January 21, 2018 at 10:33 am#820940NickHassanParticipantHi,
‘Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary, and the brother of James and Joses and Judas and Simon?
Are not his sisters here with us?’
And they took offence at him.
Jesus said to them
’A Prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and among his own relatives and in his own household’
And he could do no miracle there except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them
Mk 6.3f
March 6, 2018 at 11:11 am#821482NickHassanParticipantHi,
Neh 9.30
However You bore with them for many years, and admonished them by Your Spirit through the prophets..
Zech 7.11
They made their hearts like flint so that they could not hear the law and the words which the Lord of hosts had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets..
Heb 1.1
God, after He spoke long ago to the father in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son…
Folks cannot cope with the idea that God spoke this time in the first person through His Son.
March 7, 2018 at 9:33 pm#821517NickHassanParticipantHi,
Elijah was a prophet
He spoke for God.
He healed the sick.
He did miracles.
He raised the dead.
But why did nobody say he must be God?
odd that
