It seemthat they were waiting forboth The Messiah an al a Prophet as well, John theBaptist was not sure which Jesus was even though in oneverse hesays “Behold the lamb of God”

Late after John was imprisoned he asked:

    Matthew 11:3

    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

3 and said unto him, Art thou he that should come, or do we look for another?

Now ED look at this verse and you tell me what it says:

    5.John 1:21
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Elias? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.

Now Jesus said the Prophets stopped at John and Jesus was also a Prophet but denied being the FINAL prophet that was to come. Praise God! You see for yourself

Jesus was not “That Prophet” That Prophet is Muhammad

Don't delude yourself, Muhammad is the 'false prophet' spoken of in Rev. (Link #1)  (Link #2)

“For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the LORD
your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him
shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet,
shall be destroyed from among the people.” (Acts 3:22-23)

For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.” (John 5:46)

“Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet.” (John 7:40)

“Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said,
This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.” (John 6:14)

Then you don't believe John 1:21?

    John 1:21

You disagree with Jesus? Or can you explain?

Also John 6:14 goes onto say in John:15

    John 6:15

    Authorized (King James) Version (AKJV)

15 When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.

Jesus clearly said that his kingdom was not of this world but Moses and Muhammad ruled nations of this world.

but either way whetheryou believe Muhammad is that prophet or not what do you do with John 1:21?

    Hi BD,

Regarding John 1:21 – you didn't watch the video did you?
Regarding John 6:15 – Jesus is not an Earthly king.

Muslims don't even know what “The Christ” means,
it means GOD's anointed leader. To muslims, rather than Christ,
Muhammad is their anointed leader; clearly this is a perversion against GOD!

I just watched the video and Iam still 100% sure. It's funny when Christians don't agree with their scriptures they will start speculating and suggesting what the people in the scriptures were thinking but if that theory holds that would als make Christ Jesus be false because the Jews didn't believeh was the Messiah and still do not today so yes they were wrong aout who thy thought th Messiah should be and Christians today are wrong about who “that Prophet” was to be, But Jesus said:

    Matthew 11:13
For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John.

So the dispensation of Israel Prophets ended at John and that was followed by the MESSIAH and that was followed by the Final Prophet unless you disagree with Matthew 11:13

So do you disagree ith Matthew 1:21 and 11:13?

    Hi BD,

“The law and the prophets were until John: since that time “The Kingdom of GOD” is preached”  (Luke 16:16)

You enter the “Kingdom of God” by being born again of God's “HolySpirit”!

    John 7:40-41

    New International Version (NIV)

40 On hearing his words, some of the people said, “Surely this man is the Prophet.”

41 Others said, “He is the Messiah.”

Still others asked, “How can the Messiah come from Galilee?

It is obvious that verse 40 and verse 41 are about two different people so since Jesus is the Messiah who then is the Prophet in verse 40?

Also in John 6:15 he rejects the notion of being a king on this earth

    John 6:15

    New International Version (NIV)

15 Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.

Moses nor Muhammad rejected earthly leadership roles.

If you believe that Jesus is greater than Moses then of course he is not “LIKE” Moses

I find it somewhat entertaining the way bod skirts the issues. It must be so easy to argue against and deny something when the material you use to defend yourself is the same material you declare as corrupted. You can say, “the part that I take is from God, but the scripture you use is not.” Even when both pieces of scripture comes from the same book. You pick and choose what you want to hear and what you accept just as it is written,

    2 Timothy 4:3-4

For the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn aside unto fables.

Bod won't accept anything contrary to what he already believes even if it is proof against him… because to him there is no proof because the proof shown to him is simply corrupted and he declares it not authoritative. Isn't that correct? Instead of answering any questions he goes straight to another question about the same thing and then says you are not being truthful to yourself. Its a sad way to argue. He has nothing to say in response to anything but only tries to attack and squeeze more information out without giving anything to defend his position except for his initial verses. I fear good verses and the gospel is being wasted on the unreceptive. If you wish clarification, bod, I would ask that you start clarifying why you think everyone else is wrong.

Just saw saw this post hope you are still around to respond can you show me where I skirted an issue? Also you say there has been no corruption to the Bible.

    1 Corinthians 8:2-3

    New International Version (NIV)

2 Those who think they know something do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves God is known by God.

    Footnotes:
a.1 Corinthians 8:2 An early manuscript and another ancient witness think they have knowledge do not yet know as they ought to know. 3 But whoever loves truly knows.

The reason I can use the scriptures despite them beng messed around with is because they are still the scriptures God sent down andas it is written

    2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,

Therefore it is useful indeed the funny thing is I hold them more valuable than you and I can prove it to you
