Also, If I understand you, you think that the world is going to come into a “new age” or something when this “knowledge” takes over, and that is really heaven. That there is no heaven or paradise, that it is really here, now. Also there is no hell or punishment. O.K., when things are as bad as they are in the Middle east, and getting worse by the day, and when the inevitable happens and nukes are poppin, just remember, Mikeangel warned you…………..

It makes sense if you understand what Jesus prayed for when he asked the he and his Father be in those that believe and those that believe be in he and his Father.If you strive to overcome sin by your own effort you reject God. If you believe then God will overcome sin by changing your mind and your heart to truly love your neighbor as yourself.

February 27, 2011 at 3:26 pm#237574Tim KraftParticipantPierre: What a beautiful post. I love the writings of John that you quoted. They are of great power and comfort for all who accept and believe.
Jesus is the word of God, God is spirit, Jesus words are spirit and life, God is Holy, Gods words are holy, spirit, life, truth, Jesus, for those who accept and believe. God, the Holy Spirit, spirit words through Jesus, the truth of God, sent, for the building up of the church, his body, unto a great temple built without hands, having Jesus as the foundation, the cornerstone the capstone, the light of the temple, the door to the temple, the sacrifice of the temple, the true food, the true drink, the saviour, the bread, the wine, and who is all and in all! I love how spirit/words are interchangable to mean the same thing.
The New Testament way of Jesus is love your neighbor as yourself. Some times I feel it is easier to love my neighbor than it is to love myself. Then I realize that God/Jesus/Holy Spirit are within all who accept and believe. As we grow in realization of that truth, we build the Kingdom of God within and from the good heart, the fruit of love comes forth from within to administer love to the world. Bless you, TK

Timyou have a rich way to express your self far better than I can;and I agree almost with all you say;
the things I do not agree is ;and who is all and in all!those words are not addressed to Christ but to God,
and Christ or God is in no one;but there words and the spirit of those words can be,and that is how we can be one with them.by agreeing and believing in them.
men can only access true live by obeying Gods word,what is the truth.
John spell that out very clearly.

February 28, 2011 at 12:05 pm#237642Tim KraftParticipantAll: The Law and all the prophets, and the psalms (Luke24:43) all told of the New Covenant that was to come from God. The Kingdom of God was to come and be set up forever.The old was destined to pass away. This was known as the great and terrible day of the Lord. Malachi4:5 Behold I will send you Elihah the prophet before (in front of) the coming of the great and dreadful day of the lord and he will turn the hearts of fathers (repent) to children and the hearts of the children (some of the original children of Israel) back (repentance) to their father (most high God)….
Mankind had fallen into deep darkness with no knowledge of where God was or what God really wanted them to do or be. They were lost in sin or wrong thinking. They felt separated from God. A great light came forth with the trump of God, and a two-edged sword flowing from his mouth that was building up and healing with the truth of God on one side, which at the same time was tearing down and destroying wrong thinking on the other side. The day of the lord had come.
The great and terrible day of the Lord had arrived. This light would effectuate the good news and also effectuate the evil thinking!
Good words from God would survive and evil (thinking) will be burned up.Jesus interpreted that John the Baptist was Elijah to come. John came to make a straight path for Jesus teaching the Kingdom of God. John introduced water Baptism as a metaphoric brain washing of the old test. wrong thinking, which had created only sin and death. John preached repentance (turn around from) sin thinking, and go this new, completely different way. John said I wash you with water but one coming after me washes you with the spirit water of the word of God. Eph.5:26!
Jesus came forth as the word of God, with the words from God. God's words are spirit that give life. Jesus said to the people, Luke17:20…the Kingdom of God does not come with observation (visual sight)! V21…Neither shall they say, lo here or look there, behold the Kingdom of God is within you. (Jesus the truth foundation, the words that build up the spiritual Kingdom of God in your heart. Then you have God/Jesus/the holy spirit all of God within your personal temple)
God gave his word, Jesus, to build us individually into a Kingdom of God which includes the Temple (us), the home/abode of God(us) and the Church which is the body of Christ(us). Jesus cleansed us, took away our sin, gave us the truth of God and made us a nation (spiritually) of Kings of our own Kingdoms, and Priests of our own Temples and members of our church, his body! Jesus ordained us with Gods words, and empowered us to do the same faith works of God that he did, heal the sick, raise the dead(ignorant) and cast out devils(lies and deceptions apart from the truth)!!
It is finished, all is in place and those who accept and believe walk in the power of this truth. It is finished, nothing more to do, Jesus said so. This is the spirit/word foundation of God given through Jesus. When mankind wakes up, and begins to exercise his faith to do the true works of God the whole world will become united. At the same time it is a terrible day for non-believers. They will be burned and eaten alive by pain, sickness, suffering of all sorts. Cancers and all forms of death creating illnesses. It doesn't mean the person is bad or does not believe in God. It means they have not exercised in faith power from God. Little things first like a body builder, light weights first and move up to world class. If a believer in God suffers they need to believe, and gather other believers to help while need be.
A fully developed believer in the power of God given to Jesus and then to mankind can ask what he will and it shall be done for him! That is a promise of Jesus. The New Covenant, Kingdom of God, ruling Gods love, to all who will accept the words of Jesus. IMO, TK

================================do you ever understand that a true believer is a person that as completely surrender his will to the will of God ,
and so wall with all is mind,hearth,and soul to be obedient to God words and will and so become righteous,
so now what would a righteous person ask from there God ??
things that they may need to do Gods will per ups ?
the love of God teaches that we no longer live for the flesh (for us) but for God.
do you understand that???Pierre
February 28, 2011 at 10:18 pm#237662Tim KraftParticipantPierre: You have chosen to see the srciptures your way as I have seen them mine. I back everything I write with direct quotes from Jesus himself and I do not take them out of their context. If we were person to person I would hold my Bible and challenge exactly what I wrote above as the New Teatamament will of God in its true progressive form.
There is only one command from God to obey, Love.
When you refer to a righteous man are you aware that the only way to be righteous is believe that God has made you righteous. Your works and deeds will never make you righteous.You can't earn righteousness! Only faith in the words of Jesus. Gods will is that you believe!!! Faith pleases God.Living for the “flesh” as you wrote is living in the ot law. The Bible reference to Flesh and Spirit is the old way and the New way. (not your body flesh)
You have chosen to believe mans doctrines and beliefs about living for God when actually God is living through you. The only arms and legs and voice God has in the world is what comes through believing sons of God. And most of them are children that have not grown up in Gods truths. Mankind has followed mankind throughout the ages. Thats why Jesus called us sheep. The preachers listen to the denominational leaders who have been taught by seminary professors who were taught by others before them.
The word of God creates a relationship with each individual student. God speaks the words of truth to Jesus and Jesus gives them to us in parable form. Each student is created by his own choice of beliefs. Each person is building their own Temple of God with the truth. If it is built on the rock solid foundation of Jesus, the truth, then it will stand all the wiles of deception and lies of destruction.
The truth of God comes line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little. Yet Jesus' words are the powerful building blocks of life. God is not trying to clone our lives and make us all walk a certain way. How boring. God has given us his Kingdom in great power that will operate through every believer just exactly as it worked in Jesus. Unbelieving minds block the power of God. Believing in unworthiness and innability and sin and weakness etc., cover and dilute the power that worketh in the sons of God.
Jesus says,…if my words abide in you and you abide in my words ask what you will and it will be done for you… you can either believe it must be true or Jesus is a liar and didn't really mean what he said. We are supposed to hear the words of Jesus from God, believe them with whole heart and work the same works Jesus did on earth, and even greater works. Jesus said that, don't blame me! I believe what Jesus says. Its time to grow up. IMO, TK

IMO, TK
Timlike you say ,it is your view ,and so you have to bear all what it holds.
so hem I,
I have not follow religion but it seams you are and so it is with you but not with me,
I have one God and one Lord,no in between,only slave to one master.
and for your info God can only live trough you if you practice the deeds of the faith his son made us known.
this is your say;;

=================================
this is also debatable just see at the confusion between the so called seminary professors, liars ,cheats, deceivers,just like the Pharisees and the Sadducee's.
I don't think you want me to say what Jesus called them??
you can keep follow men and there believes ,not me.

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.(The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise…Psalms 51:17)
Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.(your sorrow shall be turned into joy…John 16:20)
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.(For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.
But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace…Psalm 37:10)Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.(Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God…Philippians 1:11)
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.(Whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you…Matt 7:2)
Thank you for taking the time to study these things. Do you believe that a christ will meet all of the blessed qualification in the b-attitudes when fully mature in Christ?March 1, 2011 at 10:03 am#237694karmarieParticipantKerwin, if I understand your question right, yes I do believe that those who are mature in Christ will.
Example I feel so much better than I did before, there is joy (sadness will turn to joy) in my life now, where there was definatly not before then.
There is hope and there is guidance, and im sure it has a lot to do with these, and I guess theres still a long way to go as well… in growing in Christ.

Quote this you say to Mikeangel;;We strive in vain to obtain righteousness if God does not do it but we have confidence that God will do it and so do the righteous works he puts in front of us knowing that we can only do them by the grace of God. In that way we bear the fruit of God not from our own effort but rather from the effort of God.
====================
now can you justifiy what you say in the scriptures from John ???if you do show me
I can justify it because I know that the results of God and Jesus being in a man are that God does his works through him, as John tells us himself in John 14:10 and 1 John 3:6:
John 14:10
Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.
1 John 3:6
No one who lives in him keeps on sinning. No one who continues to sin has either seen him or known him.
Above scriptures are from NIV.

I agree but the prize is worth the effort and the perserverence. Know that through Jesus all things are possible for those who seek God's righteosness and his kingdom. He will do all he states if we believe without doubt and seek to serve him in all our being.
