The Bible tells of how man is utterly helpless to resist evil, being sold out by choice and overcome by it, so much so that he doesn’t even want to do right:

then he quotes:

“What then? Do we excel? No, in no way; for we have before charged both Jews and Greeks all with being under sin, as it is written: ‘There is none righteous, no not one; there is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God’” (Romans 3:9-11 MKJV).

The problem is 1. Victor is relying on a misquote of the OT from Paul the Apostle that is not talking about People who call on God:

Paul is quoting from 2 psalms, which are worded almost identically – Psalms 14 & 53. Here is the full passage.

Psa 14:1 To the choirmaster. Of David.
The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds,
there is none who does good.
Psa 14:2 The LORD looks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.
Psa 14:3 They have all turned aside;
together they have become corrupt;
there is none who does good, not even one.
Psa 14:4 Have they no knowledge,
all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread
and do not call upon the LORD?
Psa 14:5 There they are in great terror,
for God is with the generation of the righteous.
Psa 14:6 You would shame the plans of the poor,
but the LORD is his refuge.
Psa 14:7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!
When the LORD restores the fortunes of his people,
let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

David is speaking about FOOLS who say, “There is no God.”
Then, he says the godless are CORRUPT and do ABOMINABLE DEEDS.
None of THEM are good.

Next, David says that God looks down at man, who have ALL turned aside and become corrupt, of whom NONE does good.

Who are these people David is talking about, who are all corrupt?
Verse 14 – ALL THE EVILDOERS who EAT UP HIS PEOPLE and DO NOT CALL UPON THE NAME OF YAHWEH.

Are there any people not included in this group?

YES – verse 5 – “FOR GOD IS WITH THE GENERATION OF THE RIGHTEOUS.”

and as for resisting evil?

Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:6-8

So I guess the Bible doesn't teach that man is utterly helpless to resist evil, no Victor teaches that.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

accused them of what? Unrighteousness
