And for those not in the body of Christ:
How about the following scripture:
Quote Ephesians 2:2
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:Love in Christ,

And so, how about the scriptures that I have quoted?

None of the verses you quoted said the spirit of man is the works of that man and the evil and good works of men return to God at their death.April 15, 2010 at 10:06 pm#187279NickHassanParticipantHi 94,
Man is a vessel given life by the spirit given to Adam and passed on to his sons. That vessel was designed to be used as a temple for God's Spirit [Eph2]and to be useful in the household of God[2Tiim2]
Instead man is occupied by evil spirits such as Jesus cast out of men. Jesus told us they can return to their squatters home if cast out but it remains empty. That darkness is meant to be replaced by light so that men will be filled with light as he was on the mountain.

So, Adam was a living soul but he died when he disobeyed God. The life of the flesh is in the blood. The spirit of disobedience doesn't give life to the soul does it?Quote Romans 5:12 (King James Version) 12Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

I did not get an answer from you again, so again what about our minds? What is God going to do with it?

And so, what spirit did Adam have at his death? Did God give him that spirit? The scripture states that the life of the flesh is in the blood. Adam sowed his seed, his sperm, and that had what it takes to give life to the flesh. He breathes oxygen. Is that what you are saying is the breathe of God?It through the Word of God that the soul might be alive to God. It is that spirit that God gives his children.

When the spirit given Adam at death returned to God his soul went to Sheol and his body corrupted.
That is the way of natural men. Those who are alive to God are those who share his living Spirit.
God breathed into the dust of earth[body] and Adam became a living[spirit] soul[soul] [gen2.7]

Hi Nick:What spirit are you saying goes back to God?
Adam died spiritually when he sinned, just as all of us were dead to God in our trespasses until we were born again.
Quote Colossians 2:13 (King James Version) 13And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

The spirit of man.
Spiritual death is a human concept not found in scripture in the way you use it.

And when it is transformed then what? this does not answer my question, again what will happen to our minds, it is still ours, whether transformed or not….You know what Nick, your mind is so negative, I don;'t believe that Jesus mind is so that way….do you always have to become personal? How would you know if any of our minds is transformed or not? I believe the members that come here are really trying to be like Christ. We all grow in different stages I believe… knowing what I believed even a year ago shows me that….And if we don't see a change, we better start to worry….

94do you think men is any different than Adam or is he different??
Ge 2:7 the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being
and just understand that the breath of live was blown into Adam and he became a living soul, why the breath of live and not the spirit ? i think it is the same breath that is still given at birth to children, same need a slap to start breathing.i believe that Adam received the same spirit of live than all of us do even today, but the spirit of live as more to do with what we do in our lives on a day to day bases, because it is by our actions that we will be judge at the end, and it is all written in the book that is open.

Hi Mrs:When God breathed the breathed of life into Adam, he became a living soul. He was as a new born baby not having done any good or evil. He was at time a son of God. When he sinned, he died first spiritually, and then ultimaltely his body died also.
The scripture states that the life of the flesh is in the blood.
And so, you believe that when you slap a child on the butt and the child begins to breathe that is when God breathes his breath of life into the child? Where is the scripture which states this?
What the child breathes in this situation is oxygen.
