    Hi All,

Scripture all connects beautifully to show us why the mortal man Jesus is called God’s only begotten Son and why the resurrected Jesus is called a firstborn of many.

Part 1: The mortal son of David, Jesus of Nazareth, as God’s only begotten Son

Chronicles 17:11 And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish his kingdom. 12 He shall build me an house, and I will stablish his throne for ever. 13 I will be his father, and he shall be my son: and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him that was before thee: 14 But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom for ever: and his throne shall be established for evermore.

How is that that God would be a Father unto a mortal son of David?

1 John 3: 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10 In this the children of God are manifest..

Ephesians 5: 9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

    God’s seed represents God’s Spirit.

The Spirit coming upon and remaining represents being born of God, where righteousness dwells and sin cannot be committed. In this the Son of God was manifested, in this the children of God are manifested.

John 1: 32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

Matthew 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him. 16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: 17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

    Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my Spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles; 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. 8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another,

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The OT prophecies of the Word of God regarding a son of David became true in the man of flesh Jesus of Nazareth, he was filled with the Spirit being filled with grace and truth and upon being sent out into the world the people beheld his glory as he spoke God’ word with authority and performed great sign and miracles. The people beheld the glory of the only one to have been begotten by God, born of the Spirit having God’s seed come to abode and remain in him, having been called to righteousness, the very glory God had promised that we read of in Isaiah 42.

Jésus IS THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON GOD FROM HEAVEN

    HE SAY

For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
[39] And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
[40] And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
[41] The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
[42] And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
[43] Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
[44] No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jodi, the Jews were murmuring between because for them Jesus did not come from heaven as he told them.
    It shocked them.

They were ignorant or had forgotten the prophecies including that of Micah
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, FROM EVERLASTING.

This King James Bible is well translated
The origin of Jesus goes back to eternity.

    Hi Berean,

Thanks for posting on this topic!

I will respond directly to your post incorporating the scriptures you cited, but I would like to see you respond specifically to those I sighted in my first post and see you counter the position I gave that was based from them. That would be much appreciated!

    Hi Berean,

There is ONLY ONE sending of God’ Son into the world. I already gave you in my first post how it is that Jesus is God’s Son, he was born of the Spirit. Furthermore, as he was the only mortal man to have been born of the Spirit without measure, called to righteousness, by such he was God’s only begotten Son.

My position is that in all of scripture that concerns Jesus being sent, they are all speaking of an anointed man born of the Spirit who thus had been set-apart to fulfill our One True God the Father’s will and purpose.

He who was born of water and of the Spirit was SENT BY GOD TO DO GOD’S WILL, which directly equates to Jesus thus having COME DIRECTLY TO US DOWN FROM HEAVEN.

Prior to John 6, which I will get to here soon, we read in John 3,

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Jesus is the Son of Man, the son of David, who God had promised he would be a Father to and would settle him into His House and His Kingdom, God’s word made true from 1 Chronicles 17. Scripture tells us that indeed Jesus was born of God, born of His Spirit and then was sent out into the world, where he died but then he became the word of God fulfilled, he was the Son of Man exalted to God’s right hand settled into God’s House and His Kingdom.

We are given 4 Gospels that speak of Jesus being immersed in water and coming up from that water to then have God’s Spirit come to dwell in him and remain in him. At that moment each Gospel we read God declared this man to be His Son.

We are also given in John 3 and Luke 4,

3:34 For he whom God hath SENT speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

There is more to discuss from John 3 but I would like to go to John 6 for now,

John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
41 The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven.
42 And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?
43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves.
44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

Deut 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. 19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.

Several points that need to be made or reiterated here regarding what scripture teaches.

Jesus himself had to be born of water and of the Spirit, called to righteousness, to then fulfill God’s word of 1 Chronicles 17 and elsewhere, to fulfill the Son of Man being exalted to God’s right hand being settled into God’s kingdom.

Jesus himself had to live by every word of God, he had to obey all of God’s commands and believe himself the word of God that he preached.

Jesus tells us WHEN HE WAS SENT and the purpose for his sending, to fulfill God’s will.

Jesus tells us that upon receiving the Spirit he was set-apart/annointed to fulfill God’s will.

Jesus says that he came down from heaven to do the will of the Father who sent him. The Father sending the anointed Jesus to do the Father’s will is exactly the same thing as Jesus coming down from heaven. The anointed Jesus was sent by God coming from God to do God’s work, thus he was coming to us directly down from heaven. Just as the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven mean the same thing, so does Jesus being of God and being of heaven mean the same thing. The anointed Jesus who was born of God’s Spirit came to us from God and thus he came to us from heaven.

Man must live by every word of God, such is bread from heaven that gives us life.

God made Jesus that bread as God gave Jesus His word of life to preach and whoever does not hear and believe will be destroyed.

    Hi Berean,

John 16: 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. 16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. 29 His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. 30 Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. 31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. 33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 3:34 For he whom God hath SENT speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

1 Cor 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; 9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; 10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: 11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. 12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. 13 For  by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth. 20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. 22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. 25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

Matthew 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not… 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

    Berean,

27 For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. 28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

Jesus was baptized and drank of the one cup of the Spirit and then was SENT out into the world to do God’s will and fulfill God’s purpose. This was he being born of water and of the Spirit. This was he coming out from God coming forth from the Father and going out into the world as God’s only begotten Son, which is the same as him coming down from heaven, having come from the Father.

He died and thus left the world and then what happened,

Acts 2:32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.

He was raised from the dead where he drinks of the cup of the One Spirit forevermore, he appears to many as a witness of God’s word of life made true and then he leaves the world to be with our Father in heaven, having been settled into God’s House and God’s kingdom exalted to His right hand just as God had promised unto a son of David.

    John 3

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized. 23 And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized. 24 For John was not yet cast into prison. 25 Then there arose a question between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purifying. 26 And they came unto John, and said unto him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou barest witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him. 27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. 28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him. 29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. 30 He must increase, but I must decrease. 31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all. 32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony. 33 He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. 34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him. 35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. 36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

He that cometh is he who received God’s Spirit. He was a man born of water and of the Spirit without measure, becoming God’s only begotten Son. He cometh FROM GOD which IS him coming thus unto us down from heaven.

The Son of Man being spoken of in this chapter is THE son of David whom God had promised that He would be a Father to and settle him into His Kingdom, but a man must be born of water and of the Spirit to enter God’s kingdom.

The LIGHT being spoken of in this chapter is THE son of Jesse and that of David whom God promised to give His Spirit to and call him to righteousness for him to be for a LIGHT.The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness righteousness and truth” and Jesus received that Spirit without measure, he was born of God and whoever is born of God is righteous, he does not commit sin, this is how the Son of God Jesus was manifested.

Berean your work as I see it, is to pull out passages ignoring the surrounding context as well as other passages from other chapters that directly apply. Such does not equate to establishing truth.

Your breaking of biblical “missiles” have no effect on the truth expressed in John 1.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
[2] The same was in the beginning with God.
[3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

👉and the WORD was GOD……….AND THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH👈

The heart of John 1 is that which God gave us against Satan who wants to be worshiped in the place of the Father and the Son.

And the great dragon was cast out(FROM HEAVEN), that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.(Rev.12:9)

Genesis 3 :1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

[2] And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
[3] But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.
[4] And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
[5] For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

👉And saith (Satan)unto him,(Jesus) All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.(Mathew4:9)

👉And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? (Rev.13:4)

And they overcame him(Dragon) by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.(Rev.12:11)

These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.(Rev.17:14)

    👇

    And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

[12] Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.
[13] And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.
[14] And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

    Rev.15
[1] And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.
[2] And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.
[3] And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.

    Hi Berean,

The heart of John 1 is God’s word made true in the man of flesh Jesus of Nazareth when the Spirit came and descended upon him like a dove.

JOHN 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. 33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. 34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.

Not only is this THE WORD OF GOD given by the prophet Isaiah in 11, 42 and 61 also in that Word we are given that He who created heaven, earth and man also called this man to righteousness for the purpose of this man to be for a LIGHT and fulfill God’s covenant, a GLORY promised to no other out of all people of the earth to whom God gave the breath of life to and a spirit to walk therein.

John 1 speaks to this very LIGHT that was God’s WORD made true in the man of flesh, Jesus of Nazareth, and how he who was that light came to his own brethren but many denied him.

Through this LIGHT, God’s WORD declared by God before the world began, is fulfilled, Eternal Life.

When God said in the beginning, “let there be light”, we know that God also declared that one man would fulfill God’s purpose as to why all things were being made in the first place. This man would bring forth righteousness upon all the earth, the righteousness to which he had been called by God to first and where there is righteousness eternal life follows.

In the beginning was the Word (Eternal Life) and the Word (eternal life) was with God and the Word was God (God Himself is Eternal and He is the source of Life).

When John wrote his Gospel, the Son of Man who had been called to righteousness for to be a light and fulfill God’s purpose for why God created all things in the first place, he was sitting at God’s right hand where before he had appeared to many as God’s fulfilled WORD of Eternal Life as given to us in 1 John 1, the very Word of Life that had been WITH God from the beginning.

Berean, Jesus was IN the WORD that was from the beginning, the promise of eternal life was held in the man God would call to righteousness.

    To All,

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

1 John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 10 In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

Ezekiel 36:27 And I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

God’s Spirit coming to dwell in you and remaining in you IS BEING BORN OF GOD and it causes righteousness, to which Jesus was the only mortal man to have received this calling.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Jesus himself was called, he was the only mortal man to have been called to righteousness.

1 Cor 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

Jesus’s name means YHVH is salvation and it is by the Spirit of YHVH dwelling in him that we are cleansed and justified. Jesus was baptized and drank of the one cup, drank of the Spirit of YHVH and as Jesus said, a man must be born of water and of the Spirit to enter into God’s kingdom, which is exactly what was fulfilled in Jesus who is now sitting at God’s right hand.

Ephe 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth😉

1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery (hidden thing) of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Gal 3:11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Righteousness comes through being born of the Spirit.  We see Jesus was born of the Spirit not by measure called to righteousness an only begotten Son, we thus see God manifested in the flesh and we thus see a man, Jesus himself, be justified in the Spirit. He then was received up into glory where he was settled into God’s House just as God had promised unto David’s son.

We are promised to be joint heirs with Christ Jesus, heirs also of God’s Spirit, to which Jesus received according to promise when he was raised from the dead. He became an eternal firstborn of many. A mortal Jesus became an only begotten Son but now he is the promised firstborn of many having the Spirit of God in him to the cause of righteousness unto eternal life.

    Hi Jodi

    You

In the beginning was the Word (Eternal Life) and the Word (eternal life) was with God and the Word was God (God Himself is Eternal and He is the source of Life).

    Me

I don’t need to paraphrase John 1 to understand the meaning.

What John is telling us is simple and profound.

We know from Revelation 19:13 that this is the only Son of God. He is the only one who cant to bear this name: The Word of God.

HE IS THE WORD OF GOD IN THE BIGINNING

AND HE IS THE WORD OF GOD WHEN HE RETURNS AND IN BETWEEN.

    THE ALPHA AND THE OMEGA.

    Revelation 19

[13] He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God.

    Berean,

Stop bouncing around! Please speak to my first post on this topic discussing the scriptures that I gave.

Let me remind you of my position of Rev 19,

You are taking verse 13 away from it’s surrounding context, that which comes prior and after, so it fits in with your doctrine. That is deception not truth.

Rev 19 declares that there is a name that is written. Rev 19 gives us prophecy from the OT, which IS THE WORD OF GOD, directly related to the name that IS WRITTEN.  We are being given that the name that is written is according to God’s Word, it’s God’s word fulfilled. The name KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS IS RIGHTFULLY A NAME THAT IS CALLED GOD’S WORD.

Berean, can you admit that surrounding verse 13, Revelation 19 gives us the word of God from the OT that speaks concerning a King of kings and a Lord of lords?

Can you admit that the name that is written King of kings and Lord of Lords can rightfully be called God’s Word, because it is just that, God’s word given to the prophets?

I ask that you speak to this directly as well and not bounce around.

    Hi Jodi

Can you admit that the name that is written King of kings and Lord of Lords can rightfully be called God’s Word, because it is just that, God’s word given to the prophets?

    Me

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

    the context here is clear,
Jesus returns conquering with a first name
    FAITHFUL AND TRUE
for war and righteous judgment we shall see against the kings of the earth, led by the dragon, the beast and the false prophet.

[12] His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

Eyes like a flame of fire shows that Christ by his eyes/his Spirit/has the capacity to judge the nations at war against God.

It also showed us in Revelation 1

    Rev.1/14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;

In Daniel we see the throne of God/the Ancient of Days, for judgment also. The color white as snow signifies that God is holy and just, just as for Christ his head and hair are white as snow signifies the justice of his character.

    his head were many crowns;

This is the great sign of his royalty, he returns as king of kings and lord of lords

    see Rev.17 /this is the same war/
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

This unrevealed name is certainly the new name of Christ /12b/
the name of Jesus or God on the forehead shows the character of God and Christ reproduced in the believer

[12] Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

    Rev.14/

And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their foreheads.

    Rev.22
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
[4] And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

    Continuation

13] And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

    vesture dipped in blood….

the blood-soaked garment that Christ wears is his justifying righteousness through the merits of his shed blood.

his name is called The Word of God….

Why are the name and the blood-soaked garment of Christ associated in this verse?

Well, Jodi, it’s not for nothing…
the Blood of Christ is the means by which we are cleansed/justified, sanctified, and ultimately glorified and this has been possible because Jesus is THE CREATIVE AND REDEMPTIVE WORD OF GOD FROM THE BEGINNING.

AT THE CREATION OF THE WORLD, CHRIST SPOKEN THE WORDS THAT CREATED ALL THINGS BY THE WILL OF THE FATHER AND IN COMMUNION WITH HIM.

In REDEMPTION , Christ lays down his life by forgiving, healing, releasing captives, demon possessed,
HIS WORD FORGIVES, SAVES, RELEASES, HEALS, ..
AND THE PRICE IS THE BLOOD SPILLED AT THE CROSS OF CALVARY.

    Matthew 9:5,6
And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
[5] For whether is easier, TO SAY, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
[6] But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth TO FORGIVE SINS, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) ARISE, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.

    SAY ONE WORD…

[5] And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
[6] And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
[7] And Jesus knows unto him, I will come and heal him.
[8] The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof:

BUT SPEAK THE WORD ONLY, AND MY SERVANT SHALL BE HEALED.

[9] For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my servant, Do this, and he does it.
[10] When Jesus heard it, he marveled, and said to them that followed,

👉Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.👈

[11] And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
[12] But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

[13] And Jesus said unto the centurion,

👉Go your way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.👈

    .

    Psalms 33:9
For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

(THE POWER CREATOR OF THE WORD OF GOD)

    WONDERFUL !

You’re going to tell me, but this power comes from the father.
This is true in a certain sense.
The son does nothing by himself.
    The Son Obey by love.
But let’s still know that the Son is God and has the Creator Power that he uses to the Glory of the Father.

We will develop this subject again and again: God by the Son … for us and also by us, by the HOLY SPIRIT

    Amen

Berean,  you said, “You’re going to tell me, but this power comes from the father.
This is true in a,  “certain” sense”.

No,  this is true in a “APSOLUTE” SENSE,   Jesus himself said,  (not me) …….“the Son of Man can do “NOTHING” of himself”.    what does the word  “NOTHING”,  mean to you?  AND how does that fit in with your,  Jesus is the creator of everything, BS.

See how you cleverly change and try to force our bible text to say things it does not say, or even hint at, clever, but STILL not of “the truth”.

On the one hand you say,  you believe the quotes we  gave you, but on the other hand you disagree with them,  that makes you a very deceived person.

Peace and love to you and yours Berean………gene

    Gène

You don’t understand what I wrote.
As a man, Jesus was completely dependent on His Father for all things and even for the use of his own divine power which he retained (he was still God) with which he performed his miracles.
His greatest temptation was surely to resist using his own Divinity to come to his rescue.
THIS CAN BE SEEN WHEN HE WAS AT DESSERT, AND WAS HUNGER.
HE COULD SUPPORT HIMSELF AND MAKE BREADS FOR HIMSELF.
BUT HE DID NOT DO IT. HE CHOSE THE WILL OF GOD AND TO WAIT FOR THE TIME OF THE FATHER, AND ANGELS TO SERVE HIM.

Moreover, when Satan tempted him to make loaves of stones,
    Jesus refused for two reasons.

    1) Jesus having put on human nature, lived AS A MAN and having chosen to live as a man according to the will of the Father, he did not turn away from the will of the Father.
    2) Acquiring the devil’s desire by making bread (something he could) would have meant that he absolutely had to perform miracles to prove THAT HE WAS THE SON OF GOD.
THIS WAS NOT GOD’S PURPOSE FOR HIS SON.
The miracles of Christ were intended for the glory of God, and the edification and well-being 👉 OF THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN HIM.

    BEYOND EVERYWHERE PEOPLE DOUBT,
“he did not many mighty works”
    ESPECIALLY IN HIS OWN COUNTRY
    👇
And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
[55] Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
[56] And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
[57] And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
[58] And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief( Mathew 13)

SATAN KNEW THAT JESUS WAS THE SON OF GOD AND THAT HE CAME FROM HEAVEN TO DO GOD’S WILL.

HIS DESIRE WAS TO MAKE HIM DISOBEY GOD SO THAT THE CURSE WILL FALL ON JESUS AND ON US.

    Good Morning Berean,

    Let’s start with this,

You provided, Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.”

    This is direct prophecy

Isaiah 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: 2 And the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; 3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: 4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. 5 And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Ephesians 5:9 For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness righteousness and truth.

Act 17:22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious. 23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.  24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; 25 Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; 26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; 27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: 28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. 29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device. 30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: 31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. 32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter. 33 So Paul departed from among them.

Berean, Jesus is not the God who created the world and all things therein, he is the man whom God has ordained to judge and make war, where he does so through God’s Spirit that is upon him and by that Spirit he does good, he brings forth righteousness and truth. Jesus is called Faithful and True because such is God’s word fulfilled in him.

This was all God’s WORD from the beginning, this man Jesus had been with God in His plan from the beginning where this man would fulfill God’s purpose for having created the world and all things therein in the first place. The world and all things therein were created by reason of him and for him, for he was predestined to inhabit the earth inheriting it as a King of kings and a Lord of lords. He rules over it through God’s Spirit, through being led by the Spirit in all his ways, where he is thus a Son of God, the offspring of God living with God’s Spirit remaining in him, existing in the image of God.

    Hi Berean,

YOU: the Blood of Christ is the means by which we are cleansed/justified, sanctified, and ultimately glorified and this has been possible because Jesus is THE CREATIVE AND REDEMPTIVE WORD OF GOD FROM THE BEGINNING.

ME: I see that Gene has already spoke to this as well.

The blood of Christ is the means by which we are cleansed/justified, sanctified and ultimately glorified and this has been possible because God’s Spirit came to dwell in Jesus of Nazareth and remain in him. This is made possible because God called Jesus to righteousness where God held his hand and kept him to fulfill His covenant and be for a light to Jews and Gentiles, where God promised that all nations would be blessed through the seed of Abraham.

Recall that God had also promised to make a son of David into His own Son where He would not take His mercy, His goodness, away from him. Jesus said to not call him good, as only God is good, and this makes sense as Paul teaches that it is God’s Spirit that brings forth all goodness righteousness and truth. Jesus can do nothing of himself.

Romans 5:18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Berean, our justification does not come because Jesus pre-exited as our Creator, that is directly against scripture. We are justified because God called Jesus to righteousness where through the Spirit of God upon him and remaining in him he was righteous and he was therefore able to be perfectly obedient even going to the cross shedding his blood at God’s command.

Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, BECAUSE he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

As given to you several times, Jesus is quoting God’s word from Isaiah given to us in chapters 11 and 61, where the God who gives the son of Jesse of His Spirit calling this man to righteousness is the God who created all things and He gives this man of His Spirit to fulfill the very purpose as to why  He had created all things in the first place for.

    Hi Jodi and all

    John3:18
[18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

    The manifestation of the Father.
What language is to thought, Christ is to the invisible Father. He is the manifestation
of the Father, and it is called the Word of God. God sent his Son into the world, his Divinity
clothed in humanity, so that man can bear the image of the invisible God. He
made known by his words, his character, his power and his majesty, the nature and the
attributes of God. Divinity shone through humanity in a dimmed and
softened. He was the embodiment of the law of God, which was the exact representation of the
    divine character (MS 77, 1899).

And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. (John 17)

    The veiled glory of Christ.

If Christ had come in divine form, mankind could not have endured the
seen. The contrast would have been too painful, the glory too overwhelming. humanity
could not bear the presence of one of the pure and glorious angels. Also,
Christ did not take the nature of the angels upon himself; he came in the likeness of men.
The world could not endure its Redeemer for only thirty years. He lived
thirty years in a world hardened and damaged by sin, doing the work that no
another had never done nor could ever have done (ST 2/15/1899)

    Heb. 2: 14; 3: 3).

    [14] Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

[3] For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house.

    The wonderful condescension of God.

The doctrine of the incarnation of Christ in human flesh is a mystery, “the
mystery hidden from all time and in all ages “. It is the great and deep mystery
Piety. “The Word was made flesh, and she lived among us”. Christ took the
human nature, a nature lower than its celestial nature. Nothing else can show
The wonderful condescension of God …
Christ did not pretend to take human nature; He really took it. He
really possessed human nature. “Since children participate in blood and
flesh, he also participated himself. “He was the son of Mary; he was of the seed
by David in accordance with his human descendants. He declared that he was a man, and even
Man Jesus Christ. Paul writes: “For he [Jesus] was deemed worthy of a glory all the way
greater than that of Moses than the one who built a house has more honor than
    The House itself “(HR 5/4/1906).
