amen 94.
But we can crush him.
Rom 16
” 19For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.20And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. “

The kingly sons will be ascribed leadership roles.
Lk 19
16Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.17And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.
18And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
May 20, 2007 at 5:58 am#52657Not3in1ParticipantThis is hard to grasp. I haven't studied this subject at all. Do you mean to say that when we are in Paradise we will rule over people? Who are these people? Why are they still around – hasn't the judgement Day already come and gone? Or is this the time inbetween? And if inbetween, who decides who will have authority over others?
Wow. Too many questions. I better follow this thread and see what comes up
May 20, 2007 at 6:10 am#52658NickHassanParticipantHi not3,
The 1000yr reign by Christ is on earth.
Rev 20
1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
6Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
7And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
May 20, 2007 at 6:17 am#52661Not3in1ParticipantIt must be all the prophets and disciples and those who survive the tribulation that will enjoy the 1000 years. I know that I couldn't be great enough to make into that group!

None is less or greater than any other in the body of Christ. All you have to do is produce a profit on the investment God has made in you[Mt25]May 20, 2007 at 11:06 am#52692Adam PastorParticipantQuote (Not3in1 @ May 20 2007,06:58) This is hard to grasp. Hi Not3in1The Millennial Reign is for ALL the saints!
It is our Hope.
The Millennial Reign is part of the Coming Kingdom of GOD upon the earth; it is the Hope of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob; it is the Hope of Israel; it is the Hope of the Early Church; it is Our Hope.None of us are worthy of such a Great Salvation that GOD has offered us through Christ His Son.
Nevertheless, amongst the many promises & blessings that will come with the Kingdom of GOD; the saints shall have immortality and the saints shall reign over the nations with Christ.
[Psa 2.8-9; 2 Tim 2.12; Rev 2.26-27, 5.9-10, 20.6]Remember ONLY the saints will have these blessings.
The rest of the world will be mortal.
The resurrected & immortalized saints will reign with Christ over the nations. This therefore includes all those who will be born throughout the 1000 years. And remember, even the mortals will have great longevity. [Isa 65.20]Also, here is some stuff to read … hope it helps …
May 20, 2007 at 2:01 pm#52693kenrchParticipantAmen! We are the BORN children of God!
This is why Satan rebeled. He knew that God started a new creation HIS Children that would be ABOVE him and all the angels. That's why he hates man who is created in the image of the Father and are children of the most High rather than created beings.
The first will be last and the last (We HIS Children) will be first.
Amen? AMEN!IHN&L,
Ken

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!! How did I not know this information? So much is new to me since I began an honest study of God's Word. I've been a Christian nearly all my life; in full-time ministry for a good portion of my 20's. It's funny how you can be in the “church” and still not know what the Bible says.I thought that when Jesus comes back, that's it. The dead will be judged along with the living and the sheep and the goats will be separated. The goats will be “bye-bye” and the saints will enter into Paradise. But it sounds like this “millenial reign” is somehow before all of that? Goodness, I better go read the Bible…..

Try Heb4.May 20, 2007 at 7:48 pm#52714Not3in1ParticipantThanks, Nick. Hebrews will be lighter reading than Revelation (which is where I was headed).

The 1000 yr reign over the earth by King Jesus from Jerusalem.
Stuff gets sorted.December 11, 2008 at 10:24 pm#113720NickHassanParticipantHi mk
Jeremiah 23:5
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.December 11, 2008 at 10:26 pm#113721NickHassanParticipantHi mk,
ps2
7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
