This is not what Nick is saying.
He said we are born again in the beginning.
From baptism on wards.

By seeking the word of God, our way of thinking will change.
We will not be the old sinful person.
This is a long process.

This teaching looks, and sounds so good; I'll take it, they say; for it is so comforting.
Not realising how dangerous it is. It puts them to sleep;when the groom has come; they are in sleep mode.

And they will say LORD LORD,have we not done this and that in your name? And they will be cast out;those so called saved and born again.

This is not pleasant to hear,for the ears are used to hear good, and smooth things.

You are invited to humbly come to him in repentance.
To come to one of his brothers in who he resides and be reborn of water and the Spirit.
No need to educate or improve yourself first but just to ask forgiveness and to ask that he would share his Spirit with you.

But you may choose to carry on trying to do it all youself
