    Hi,
Joining in these forums is rather like going to a coffee shop attached to a library. In the coffee shop there are friendly groups earnestly chatting about trends and topical subjects. Not everyone joins in but some hang around the fringes listening but not contributing because they fear being laughed at.

Others bring their own private book collections which they expound from. Some will mix only with their own friends while other happily wander from group to group stimulating genuine dialogue.

Every now and then some of the more serious students will wander into the bookshelves to check their facts. They may enjoy the more lighthearted popular novels. Some will go further and go searching to retrieve the heavy old tomes full of detail to clarify deeper issues.

There is another part of the library that is not spoken of. It is the archive. People hate going in there. It is where is stored the most precious books made by man we own and those things we grew up with that were handed down through family inheritance. We believe they are not meant to be touched. Everthing there is bundled up in wrappings tied with string. The door too is stiff and heavy and the room is dusty.

When people are asked to check their archives they often get upset and start throwing their toys and possessions around. Suddenly the peace and joy and jolly cameraderie seems to dissipate and the air gets cooler.

Hey God wants all of us to open that door too and bring it all out to the light of day. He wants to be given permission by us to throw away from that collection whatever He does not find useful. That's tough Love but if He is Lord can we refuse?
    He does own the Library.

Soliciting particpation are we not, Nick? You are pretty much carrying this board. Good Job! I'm new and surveying the perimeter for quicksand.

Nick is on vacation and should be back in the next week or so.

He is one of the Moderator's here, and a true faithful one. I thought that when he went on vacation that the boards would be quiet, but I was wrong. There has been a lot of activity and conversations. I have been pleasantly surprised, although we do miss Nick and hope he returns safely.
