Hi David,
Gnosticism is of the world's darkness but we should be children of the kingdom of light.Acts 26:18
to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.'February 12, 2009 at 4:44 am#121273GeneBalthropParticipantNick……….Have you ever looked up the (WORD) Gnostic? Falsely Accusing and labeling people is of the evil one. WE are told not to do that, “who are you that Judges another ones servant”, for he will stand or fall to his own master , and stand he will because God is able to make him stand. You would be far better of just staying with subject matter Nick. IMO

You would think that those who have Jesus as their Master would abide in his words and not their own.February 12, 2009 at 4:58 am#121276meerkatParticipantStop bickering!!
February 12, 2009 at 5:00 am#121277GeneBalthropParticipantNick…….YOU would think that , so why don't you then? or are you referring to others but not yourself?

February 13, 2009 at 2:55 am#121416NickHassanParticipantHi david,
Jesus used a lot of things to describe it but you want one or two words?February 13, 2009 at 3:02 am#121418NickHassanParticipantHi david,
I think you are secretly dying to give us your ideas.
So why not fess up?February 13, 2009 at 3:48 am#121421NickHassanParticipantHi David,
Lets say it is not an autocratic theocracy involving only JWs.February 13, 2009 at 3:50 am#121422davidParticipantNick, right now, I'm just wondering why people on this forum don't discuss what Jesus discussed the very most. I'm thinking a lot of people don't give it so much thought. Growing up a Catholic, I said the “our Father” hundreds of times and never once considered what the kingdom was that I was praying. In fact, as a Catholic, I never considered what any of the words meant. It's easier not to consider things and to just believe things. Why do you think very few want to discuss what Jesus preached and teached about the most?
February 13, 2009 at 4:27 am#121428NickHassanParticipantHi david,
They all tell you what scripture says but you are not satisfied?February 13, 2009 at 4:28 am#121429davidParticipantQuote Hi david,

February 13, 2009 at 4:56 am#121432NickHassanParticipantHi David,
What do you want to know that is not written?February 13, 2009 at 7:04 am#121442davidParticipantQuote Hi David,
What do you want to know that is not written? What did Jesus want to know when he asked questions?
(I can just keep answering questions with questions too.)February 14, 2009 at 7:07 pm#121567lineonParticipantCan we really understand
How God's kingdom will be?
With every old man under his tree,
In that great city that will descend
Out of a new heaven
On to a new earth,
Paved in pure transparent gold
The city that has it's own Light
Brightened by the glory of God, day and night. The city gates will be open all day,
Nothing unclean and no liars shall enter
Into a city that is 1500 miles high, wide and long
Made of quartz, gold and glass,
Decorated in saphire, agates, emeralds,
Onyx, quartz, topaz, beryl and more,
The river of life will be for the taking
Nations will be healed by the cities trees
And His kingdom will rise from the ashes. If someone can understand the above he/she should start building that city now, today.
But here is something of the kingdom that we all can understand.
Luk 17:21 They can't say, 'Here it is!' or 'There it is!' You see, the kingdom of God is within you.”
We can start building Gods kingdom within us.
February 14, 2009 at 7:17 pm#121568NickHassanParticipantHi L,
Only God can make out of you a building block suitable for His purposes.
Later He will show you what he has done1Peter2
4To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,5Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
6Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
February 14, 2009 at 7:33 pm#121571NickHassanParticipantHi,
Mt13
38The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;39The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
40As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
So this describes the time of the end when Jesus has returned and the world has become his and his Father's kingdom. The Tares are gathered out of the Kingdom of Jesus and God but as you can see this is not now just the church.
February 14, 2009 at 7:36 pm#121572lineonParticipantHi Nick
Here some stones that will srenghten the cornerstone.
Gal 5:22 But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
Gal 5:23 gentleness, and self-control. There are no laws against things like that.February 14, 2009 at 7:48 pm#121573NickHassanParticipantHi L,
This is the building.
Eph2
18For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.19Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
20And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
But the wrong cornerstone has ben placed by many.
2Cor11
4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
And many have not dug deep enough first.Mt7
24Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
