Quote A kingdom is where the Kings WILL is Done. And God's will is done in the hearts and minds of His Children. So, God's will is done “in the hearts…of his children.”
“Let your kingdom come, let YOUR WILL be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
We pray for God's will to be done on earth and in heaven. So according to your logic, God's kingdom is also on earth and in heaven, or will be.GENE,
Would you agree?

Gene, you seem to think that a “kingdom” is a place. But the Bible makes plain that it clearly more than a place. And it is clearly made up of people. This error is similar to the word “church.” People think of it as a building. But the word that is translated as “church” in the Bible makes it plain that it is the people that make up the church. (My Bible translates that word “congregation”)
It is this same mistake that people seem to make with the word “kingdom.” They think of a “kingdom” as a place. But it is a government run by a king. Hence, it IS people, and is not IN people.
I can say the Bible is in my heart. And that may be true. But more true, is the fact that the Bible is a book that is sitting on my desk.
So it's very politically correct and poetic to say the kingdom is in your heart. But that is incorrect. Many many scriptures make this plain. Even the very scripture people twist badly to make it seem otherwise, makes this plain.david

Yes the Kingdom is the King and those subjected to (in this case) God through him (through his commandments). As you say it is a government.January 21, 2009 at 2:39 am#118500davidParticipantQuote As you say it is a government. Now, there's exactly two of us that say that.
January 21, 2009 at 3:03 am#118508NickHassanParticipantHi david,
A very unique and free Government where those governed are fully enthusiastic and committed and taught how to behave in every circumstance from within.January 21, 2009 at 6:34 am#118557davidParticipantSure. But as you say, a government.
January 21, 2009 at 6:37 am#118560NickHassanParticipantHi david,
Every kingdom has a king.January 23, 2009 at 7:27 am#118829davidParticipantTrue.
“To us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called ‘Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.”
Nick, do you see a connection between us praying for God's kingdom to come (Mat 6:9,10) and this:
DANIEL 2:44
““And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite;”January 23, 2009 at 7:29 am#118831davidParticipantI wonder if this is why it makes sense to be “no part of the world” as Jesus said his followers would be:
1 CORINTHIANS 15:24
“Next, the end, when he hands over the kingdom to his God and Father, when he has brought to nothing all government and all authority and power.”January 23, 2009 at 8:02 pm#118866NickHassanParticipantQuote (david @ Jan. 23 2009,18:27) True. “To us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name will be called ‘Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.’ Of the increase of his government and of peace there will be no end.”

Hi david,
We come into the kingdom Of Jesus and his God and then we pray for the kingdom to come and fully manifest on earth as it does in heaven.January 23, 2009 at 8:04 pm#118867NickHassanParticipantQuote (david @ Jan. 23 2009,18:29) I wonder if this is why it makes sense to be “no part of the world” as Jesus said his followers would be: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:24

Hi david,
Jesus must rule till all authority is fully manifest in him. Till he comes we are instructed to submit ourselves to all earthly authority appointed by God just as Jesus did even unto his death.January 23, 2009 at 11:53 pm#118893GeneBalthropParticipantTo all……..anyone who doesn't understand GOD rules inside our hearts and mind and that where his Kingdom resides. YOU, GENE, should never be allowed to speak on this subject, ever! IMO.
Gene, until you open a Bible, you really have no authority to speak. I have no proof whatsoever that you even own a Bible. You are unwilling to discuss scripture. It is absurd.

Gene, I think we should start at the beginning.
Do you own a Bible? (This is a yes or no question).
January 24, 2009 at 8:18 am#118921GeneBalthropParticipantDavid ……….you obviously do but what good has it done you. Remember you even believe if a person is bleeding to death and need a blood transfusion and you let them die , thats serving GOD. So before you start trying to straighten out others maybe you should considerate on that issue first. Your snide remarks only show your true ignorance DAVID.

I'm relatively new here so I will need to ask if David is a Jehovah's Witness. They don't believe in blood transfusions. Jesus said:Quote “Greater love has no man than this that he lay down his life for his friends”.
This would infer doing the lesser act in giving some blood.thinker

January 24, 2009 at 8:02 pm#118952davidParticipantQuote Remember you even believe if a person is bleeding to death and need a blood transfusion and you let them die , thats serving GOD. False and weak logic, Gene. If you don't have scripture, I'd think you'd at least have logic. But, using one idea like this to support a different idea is a fallacy. Sad. It is in fact what you often do. Whenever you feel cornered, you call me a JW's and insuate that anything I believe is false because of that. Another fallacy and deception.
Quote Your snide remarks only show your true ignorance DAVID. What they actually show is extreme maddening frustration at how someone who doesn't use scripture and ignores scripture at a whole can dare speak on a subject. If you own a Bible, Gene, why not use it? Do you not believe it is made to be used?
Others have agreed that God's kingdom is a government. Scripture is clear. Your philosophies are non-scriptural and based on fallacies (such as: God is a spirit, and inside us, so God's KINGDOM is inside us.)
gene, use the Bible.January 24, 2009 at 8:08 pm#118954davidParticipantGene, here is a good place to start. Look up these scriptures. (I know you won't. You've never ever commented on them.)
KINGDOM (government)–Mt 6:9,10; Dan 2:44; 1 Cor 15:24; Is 9:6,7;
KINGDOM (Jesus ruler)–Dan 7:13,14; Rev 11:15
KINGDOM (co-rulers)–Dan 7:18,22,27; Rev 1:6; 5,9,10; 20:6; 3:21; 20:4,5; 22:3-5; Ja 2:5; 1 Cor 4:8; 6:2; 2 Ti 2:12; Lu 22:28-30
KINGDOM (in heaven)–2 Tim 4:18; 1 Cor 15:50; 1 Jo 3:2
KINGDOM (not in heart)–Lu 17:20,21 ((Notice verse 20))January 25, 2009 at 3:45 am#118973GeneBalthropParticipantDavid…….Show us where in any of those scriptures that it says that the Kingdom of GOD is (NOT) within you. Please quote that to us if you can find it anywhere. God is Not a man and rules inside of His subjects not outside of them. You have been taught to view things from a physical view point and are not seeing the spiritual side. Luke 17:20-21….. they as him when would the kingdom of God come and He Said” the kingdom of God does (NOT) come with (OBSERVATION) nor will they say, “See here! or see there! For indeed the Kingdom of God is Within you. That alone should answer your question. But you must and the JW twist it up to try to change its simple meaning. Even is the part of the kingdom is in you midst was wrong as you and the JW,S say it still doesn't change the other parts of that sentence. Which confirms the true kingdom comes without OBSERVATION. (Physically seeing). God rules in the heart and mind rather you like it or not David.
