    Georg,

There is not one scintilla of evidence in the Bible that says that the God the Father offered up the sacrifice.

    Hi Thinker,

Have you read the story in Gen.22:2-8?
How about this all important verse in Rev.13:8?
And then there's also the shadow picture in Gen.2:21.
So you see my friend, your logic simply DOES NOT ADD UP!

    God bless

    Hi T,
The high Priest offered himself as a sacrifice.[Heb7.27 Heb914, Heb10.12]

    Hi,
Note that Jesus offered himself THROUGH THE LIVING SPIRIT.[heb9.14]
The sacrifice was HIS BODY [Heb10.10]

    Hi,
Jesus was the high priest who carried his own body into the temple .
He had died and was alive only in the Spirit.
Now the Lord is the Spirit

When CHRIST Jesus is mentioned in scripture it is the anointing that is more important.

    Hi,
Christ Jesus was made perfect through suffering and death and appointed as High Priest.
He is the source of eternal salvation to those who obey him.

    Hi,
Jesus was told by God he had been begotten of God.

    Hebrews 5
1For every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

2Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

3And by reason hereof he ought, as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

4And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

5So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, to day have I begotten thee.

6As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

    Hi,
Jesus was called to be high priest from among men.
He was also made the Son when a man.

    Nick,

Jesus is alive only by the Spirit of God.

    Romans 1:4
    King James Version (KJV)

4And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

    Hi KW,
Certainly his resurrection showed he was the Son and one who was prophesied to come and Peter expounded this in Acts 2-3

    Nick,

The Spirit of God gave his body life.

    Hi,
    John 11:26
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?
