Yes, it's pretty straight forward. Many of the parables were spiritual illustrations of what this kingdom is like, drawing upon themes familiar to his audience at the time.Once we rescue Jesus from the church and return to the ideals of the gospel, we can resume building the kingdom until it is established world wide. Perhaps then Jesus will stop by for a visit on the world of his incarnation. But heaven has been his eternal home in the spirit world.
