Scripture says so.
Human geneologies are less trustworthy
God is quite capable of doing what he says he is going to do and leave us the trail of what he has done.True – we are also warned to watch out for deception.

One was his Geneology through Joseph the Other was Mary.
One was to paint the geneology through the line of David, the other through the line of Humanity (going all the way back to David).
Both of them when they get to Jesus, state two fathers for Joseph.
We know Joseph couldn't of had two father's so one of them was his biological father, the other has to be his step-father through marriage to Mary.
The one through Mary's father traced to King David's line…the one through Joseph traced back to King David's brother's line.
Read:
Matthew 1:1–17
and Luke 3:23–28
for the two Genealogies.October 13, 2009 at 3:28 pm#150075RokkaManParticipantQuote (RokkaMan @ Oct. 14 2009,03:26) Don't know if this was answered, but there are two Genelogy accounts in the Bible for Jesus. One was his Geneology through Joseph the Other was Mary.

So yea, Jesus by blood was linked to King David's line through Mary (although genealogies weren't suppose to be recorded by the mother, hence why they stated two fathers for Joseph). As prophesied. - AuthorPosts
