    Hi,
We are told to dig deep and lay our foundation on the rock of Jesus's teachings. But instead men want to build on the false trinity theory.

    Hi,
    The ROCK was Christ.[1cor 10]
Jesus is the source for us of the Spirit of life

    Hi,

    The Spirit is of God
    Deuteronomy 32:4
He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

    Hi,
    The Spirit is the Rock
    King James Version (KJV)
    MT 16

17And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

    Hi,
Peter is not the ROCK but the SPIRIT that inspired his words.

In context “the rock” was the faith based revelation that Jesus is the Son of God. That was the topic of the discussion; “who do men say that I am”……….for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[c] will not overcome it.

    Hi Colter,
    FAITH BASED REVELATION?
    Traditional verbiage.

Jesus said it was the Father.
The Spirit is as the finger of God

Right, it was their Faith in the Father that revealed to them who Jesus was. It was upon that principle that Jesus had hoped to establish his new religion, the kingdom of heaven. Jeremiah saw this day when he said “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts…”

*The apostles, their brethren from Judaism and most other religions in the world had hitherto only known the evolved, man made religions of authority. Jesus now boldly proclaimed a new religion where sovereign God is the authority in the heart of the individual believer. There would be no middle man, no institutional yoke. Believers would have this in common among themselves in fellowship wherein they relinquish self will to the will of God. They would be joined in unity, not necessarily uniformity.

Sadly, the Christian church became a substitute for the “Rock” of living faith among unified believers in the Father that Jesus had envisioned. The Church would soon reach an apex of doctrinal inelasticity where it became marooned and has stagnated ever sense.

    Hi Colter,
    Really? Faith did it?
Jesus Christ explained WHO Had revealed it but you disagree?
Human fellowship and common agreement among rebels is not the ROCK OF LIVING FAITH you claim it to be.

    Hi,

The foundation rock of the body of Christ is the Spirit.

If you do not have the Spirit of Christ you are none of his.
