HiJodi
You are all over the place again, you can play that game with Truthcomber and Anthony.
Neither you nor them are addressing what the other is saying, But I surely will in time.
I seek reconciliation, and because of this I need to go slow and be very thorough. Now please answer my last question in post #846087…thank you
You can argue forever with them, but I’m not going there.
Gene says he doesn’t have a “free Will” so it
is a waste of my time to talk with him.____________
God bless
Ed JJune 11, 2019 at 9:18 pm#846090Ed JParticipantHi Jodi
Remember it took me making 6 posts for you to finally get my point in the thread…
Why is Jesus called the second Adam if you say he came from Adam???
…this proves the necessity for me to go slow.
I don’t want you to misunderstand!
You did once already, remember?____________
God bless
Ed JJune 11, 2019 at 9:27 pm#846091Ed JParticipantHi Jodi,
I’m not going to have you dig in, in this thread,
when we are confronting many of these issues in another thread. That is what Bodhitharta used to do. I would refute him in one thread,
only for him to spout the same refuted garbage starting over in another thread.Thank you for understanding!

God bless
Ed JJune 12, 2019 at 1:54 am#846101JodiParticipantHi Ed J,
YOU: Then you agree that Jesus is saying here that Christ is David’s master, right?
Me: Christ is not only David’s master according to Jesus, but it is well known from scripture that Christ is master over all people.
June 12, 2019 at 2:10 am#846102JodiParticipantYOU:Why is Jesus called the second Adam if you say he came from Adam???
ME: Ed J, the context of Jesus being called the Last Adam and the Second Adam, which means Last HUMAN, and Second HUMAN, is in reference DIRECTLY to Jesus’s RESURRECTED BODY.
The BODY Jesus had prior to his resurrection was the SAME BODY that Adam had, which was of MORTAL FLESH, that could be tempted, that hungered, that could feel pain, and that could die and could decay.
The BODY Jesus was RAISED with was not weak or corruptible, it was raised in power, glory and is incorruptible.
June 12, 2019 at 3:01 am#846104GeneBalthropParticipantEdj…..why can’t you understand what Jodi said, she has answer to your question?
And by the way I didn’t say, I only don’t have a freewill, I said no one has a “freewill” that word is an OXYMORON. Because all wills are driven by what is influencing them the most. So there could exist “no” will, if the will was free of all influences, there simply would exist “no” will at all if that were the case. Wills are “caused” therefore there’s no “free” wills “themselves”, we are given liberty by God to excercise our “influenced” wills, formed by our desires, but nothing free about the will “itself”.
Paul said he found nothing good in his body, “why”, because to “will” was present, that will that was present was driving his thoughts bringing him into bongage. Therefore he says, Ò Retched man that I am, who can deliever me from this body of death.
Peace and love to you and yours. ………gene
June 12, 2019 at 3:22 am#846105JodiParticipantNOW how can we relate the above from my last post to David saying that he called his own son his master?
David was a prophet, God gave him the future.
David saw that his son’s flesh would not see decay, even though he was to die. David saw God raise up the body of Jesus and make it incorruptible.
David said, “Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope“.
David died having faith that his son would be the firstborn of the dead, he died believing that God’s WORD that God gave him was true, that David’s son God would MAKE into His firstborn Son.
David died having faith that God’s WORD that had been WITH God before the world began was true, that God would be mindful of a man, visit him, make him lower than the angels for the suffering of death, and then crown him with David’s throne giving him dominion over all, including dominion over his own father David.
