Hi T,

I guess my question should be reworded. Do you believe that according to the bible that the healing power of God was only for the 12 Apostles and Paul?

Or do you believe it was for others and us?

My thoughts are that during the dark ages the people lost most of the Spirit of God, (not all, but most), because of false doctrine. I believe the Spirit of God is the same spirit today, it is just we believe lies instead of the Word.

Scripture says that FAITH comes by hearing the TRUE WORD of GOD.
And it also says that it is impossible to please God without faith.

Us as people have our own ideas about everything. Yet only the truth will bring on the faith of God in us. Most don't want to hear the truth about the Godhead, baptism, the first Sin, gifts of the Spirit, revelation and a number of other things. The Word of God is true and there is but one answer for each truth.

the holy spirit of truth has been always with the true believer ,because this is what God uses to help him ,

now understand that even so Christ was the son of God he accepted to show us the way ,by living as example in this world ,and so fight the good fight that brings a reward ;everlasting live ,i BELIEVE ALL TRUE BELIEVERS AS TO BE FIGHTING THIS FIGHT AND LIKE CHRIST AND HIS DISCIPLES STAY BOND TO THE TRUTH THAT LEAD THERE ,THE WORD OF GOD IS FIRST ADDRESSED TO THOSE THAT OBEY IT,IT BECOME SECONDARY THE CONDEMNATION TO THE OTHERS,THROUGH THE LOVE THAT IS GIVEN FROM THE TRUE BELIEVERS TO THE UNBELIEVER,(READ CHRIST ARREST AND JUDGMENT )THIS IS WHY IT IS SO IMPORTANT TO LOVE YOUR ENEMIES .

I also understand that the gifts were given not for men to use as pleased but to forward the spreading of the word of God trough the earth,and God as used many ways to do just that ,even today,but not always by true believers some times by greedy believers,but it is the availability to men of his word that God want ,so that men can ear and see what as been written long ago,

understand that even Satan himself will change into an messenger of LIGHT,but unless we know Gods truth we could go after the wrong light

Well maybe like this, let us say that 10,000 people have the holy Ghost.
They have children, let us say 10,000. The 10,000 parents die and the 10,000 children receive not the Holy Ghost, because of the lies they are taught by the so call churches. Most of them will believe what their church teaches and not what the truth of the bible is. They will buy into the lie and be damned by it.

So can something be lost that was never received, Yes and No. Yes, because your family members had it and died without you receiving it (Lost). And No, because you never had it to begin with, so you don't really know what you could have had.

but if you look for God ,he will make it possible to you to find him no matter what,so the truth has to be search even among the lies,look the thief Next to him ,the man realize even after swearing at Christ the light in his heart shined and stopped swearing and recognized Christ as the son of God and as a King

the children we have are not ours they are Gods children ,but look what most of us do with them ,we are but the way God make us to be blessed by giving him children of righteousness for his glory

The Spirit of God must come into the person and dwell there. It is not about how we believe the Word, it is about God living in us and guiding us. That is what being born again means.

Look at Paul, he didn't have writings of the new testament, yet he taught the new testament. It is not so much about the words in a book, it is about the Spirit in a man. For it was the Spirit in Paul that taught him.

Was the mighty works of the Spirit in the Apostles for today?

The apostles were given the Holy spirit,so they can teach and write it down on sheets of paper.
We take those sheets of paper and study all what is written down,and by doing this we can have what they have;knowledge.

As we are studying those sheets,God will also send us the Holy spirit,so we can understand,and gain the same knowledge.
But only to the sincere seekers.

Many read the scriptures,but not many are sincere seekers.
Many followed Christ around the place back then, but also many only follow him for the bread that fills the belly.
not for that bread that gives life everlasting.

So it is today;go to church to GET some blessings.The spirit of GET is in them,GET some material blessings.not knowledge.

Sorry Wakeup for taking so long to respond. I have been away working. Jesus was God in Flesh, not another God or person as some suppose, but the only God manifested in flesh. He was born the very Son of God. At the Jordan this very Son of God received the Spirit of God without measure.

And without this Spirit in each of us, we are none of His. This is not our understanding of scripture, no matter how good that may be. It is the very God of the universe living in each true believer. Those that have not this Spirit, He will say I never new you, depart from me.

Time is so very short and people are still trying to prove that their understanding of scripture is correct. They are not interested in truth, and believe lies and are damned by them. For an example, millions believe the the doctrine of the trinity as taught by the corrupt Catholic Church. It came from the 325 AD council as a doctrine. Why? Others believe that Jesus is a little god. Why? I will tell you, it is because they have not the Spirit of God IN THEM. They very well may have the Spirit (with them) CALLED sometimes, but not (in them) CHOSEN. Many (Millions) are called, but few are chosen.

Few people truly want the truth, if they did, they would go back to Acts 2:38 and know that there is only one way to receive God. Doctor Peter gave the prescription and just like any other prescription of drugs, if you change it you die. Peter was not wrong just 10 days after Jesus told him what to do in Matthew 28:19. He didn't make a mistake, he told the truth. Yet the people are so easily beguiled just like Eve was.

It is not a problem,we all have to work for a living.
Fotunately I am retired now,so I have all the time.

You obviously believe that Jesus is God in the flesh.
This alone is contradicting John 1:14. The word was made flesh—not God.

And you also believe that God died on the cross.
But when jesus died on the cross,God left him alone,so who really died on the cross?

You also believe that Jesus was born again at his babtism.
This means that he was not born again before the babtism?

Peter indeed told the truth when he said, ''Thou art the son of God'' he does not say that Jesus is God,did he?
So why must we confess a different statement?

Jesus was Gods child before he was babtised,not only after.
We are not born again after the our babtism,but at the resurrection,with a new spirit body,because we then are born of the spirit,and we will be spirit.

We are still flesh today,but with a conformed mind:
we are now begotten of God; not born again yet; till the coming.

I disagree; we are born once,and we will be born one more time(again) in a new body. Born of the spirit.
there is no such as born again and again.I know this is not what the majority has been taught,and therefore hard to believe. just need to study the scriptures re' this once more.
