EDIT***
is not EXCLUSIVE to Christianity…I can point you to similar experiences from people of ALL faiths and creeds…

What is your gospel?
Do these folk too need the mediator between men and God?
Christianity calls for a Mediator, other religions do not. Goodness, even the Catholic's have a Mediator (Priest) to their Mediator (Jesus).I agree that it seems useful for God to create ONE plan for all; that is, Jesus is the savior of the world. But even Jesus spoke of “other sheep”.
December 16, 2008 at 3:55 pm#114436dirtyknectionsParticipantSteven Hawkings the renowned scientist…said something in a debate he was participating in on “GOD vs SCIENCE” the other day that stuck out to me…
He said, (I am paraphrasing) “This whole idea of GOD coming down from heaven and voluntarily getting himself nailed to a cross to atone for mankinds sins….seems a little barbaric and anciently inhumane….seems like an all powerful GOD could find a better way to save mankind from itself”
Either way…whether peoples faiths involve a mediator or not…people all around the world are claiming to have found “GOD”…
Christians have to realize that their extremely spiritual and life changing experiences are not just common to christians…
People of ALL faiths have been moved to serve “GOD”
And MAndy, you bring up a good point…when you talk to people of other faiths…their experiences and descriptions of “GOD” sound strangely familiar to the average devout Christians experiences
I wonder why
(i'm sure someone will break out this scripture soon

Hi DK,
Yes you do have to choose.
But only one has been raised from the dead in fulfillment of prophecy.
Listen to him.December 16, 2008 at 5:09 pm#114447NickHassanParticipantHi DK,
Clearly Mr Hawkins never grasped that Jesus is the Son of God.December 16, 2008 at 5:11 pm#114448NickHassanParticipantHi not3,
Jesus showed us the other sheep-in mt 25- saved from the second death by the mercy of God after the second resurrection.December 16, 2008 at 5:11 pm#114449dirtyknectionsParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 17 2008,04:08) Quote (dirtyknections @ Dec. 17 2008,01:19) EDIT*** is not EXCLUSIVE to Christianity…I can point you to similar experiences from people of ALL faiths and creeds…

So is Jesus only the mediator for us and the heathen can directly approach God?December 16, 2008 at 5:12 pm#114451NickHassanParticipantHi DK,

Maybe…the GOD of the bible has done stranger things…December 16, 2008 at 5:42 pm#114466NickHassanParticipantHi DK,
The choice of whom to follow is difficult? Several ways to God for men, one for each culture?
God wants to unite men in Christ and we need to discern what is false from the words of truth.December 16, 2008 at 6:28 pm#114473dirtyknectionsParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 17 2008,04:42) Hi DK,

Do you not yet have the Spirit as witness?
1 John 5:6
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.Rev22
16I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.December 16, 2008 at 6:42 pm#114476dirtyknectionsParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 17 2008,05:39) Hi dk,

Nick..brother…i understand these scriptures…I understand the experiences that people claim to have associated with these scriptures….My questions still remain brother Nick….
Can you prove these “inspired expressions” apart from the bible?
And how do account for the similar things experienced by those of other faiths around the world?
Are not their experiences valid? If not why are yours?

We walk by faith not by sight.
Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Feed your heart and do not let your mind be a harsh filter.December 16, 2008 at 7:22 pm#114487dirtyknectionsParticipantQuote (Nick Hassan @ Dec. 17 2008,05:52) Hi DK,
