Thanks. Yes I agree people can understand prophecy but I think much of the time we learn things as they happen. The most important thing is praying to God for guidance. We can’t trust ourselves even. “He who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved”.

There was the first temple of the jews; and the second temple of the jews.

There’s no mention of “Jews” in 2 Thessalonians 2.
The temple is the body as Paul said….”What, did you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?” (1Cor 6:19, 1Cor 3:16).
Do you think Paul suddenly changed his mind in its meaning? I’m sure his audience would have known what exactly he was referring to when he said there will be an apostasy, and in the temple (which Paul said is the body of Christians), the man of lawlessness will be revealed, exalting himself above all that is called god, or is worshiped, displaying himself as being God. “Do you not remember that while I was still with you, I was telling you these things?” said Paul. The mystery of lawlessness was already at work when Paul wrote that.. and, a strong delusion will be sent.

How do you now that’s not a Christian making them-self God.
Cant you see the body is the temple? Why do you mention a temple of stone?
Jesus said “unless you turn and become like children, you will not see the kingdom of heaven”.
Of course it’s easy to look for something or someone to come. That’s the way it goes.
Realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.
The above verse could be a clue to the “man of sin”??
