What are the weaknesses of the Textus Receptus and/or AKJV?

The Textus Receptus, the manuscript for the AKJV is based on is made up from seven Greek manuscripts. None of them are older than the eleventh century and two of them are primary over the other five. This doesn't really help us get back to the original wording of the original New Testament documents, but with the myriad of other texts available today, we have a better chance of doing this.

Thus new bibles take advantage of these older texts that have been discovered since, including the Dead Sea Scrolls, which contain Greek texts that date back to the 3rd century.

On a related note, I wonder if the AKJV Only movement exists because the god of this age prefers that version of the Bible, due to known inserted fraudulent verses that should obviously not be there. These additional verses usually prop up the false Trinity Doctrine such as the Comma Johanneum. Even the Baptismal formula is said to have been added, although this is not just a Textus Receptus issue.

Does anyone want to add more information about the differences between the Textus Receptus and older more reliable biblical texts then please feel free to discuss. In addition, if you want to state doctrines rely on the Textus Receptus and/or the AKJV that cannot exist in the older texts due to lack of support. I think the Trinity is one of them. Any more?

The 1611 AKJV was translated from the Textus Receptus which is based on manuscripts that date back to the 11 century. Since then over 5800 manuscripts have been discovered including the Dead Sea Scrolls. AKJV Only people would have to conclude that these 5800 manuscripts are unreliable since they are not perfect like the AKJV and Textus Receptus.

These people need to wake up and realise that the Textus Receptus is not the best source of scriptures we have today. Although still useful, it is the sheer amount of other biblical manuscripts that are available as well as the scriptures being quoted by the second century fathers that help make Bible translations more accurate.
