Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
there's just something about that name.
Master, Saviour, Jesus,
like the fragrance after the rain…..Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,
let all heaven and earth proclaim.
Kings and kingdoms shall all pass away,
but there's something about that name!September 23, 2008 at 6:40 am#106635Not3in1ParticipantHis eye is on the Sparrow (one of my favorites)
Why should I feel discouraged
Why should the shadows come
Why should my heart feel lonely
And long for heaven and home
When Jesus is my portion
A constant friend is He
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches over me
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches meI sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
And I know He watches me (He watches me)
His eye is on the sparrow

Mandy thank you so much, I too love this Song, I just don't remember the music part, but I remember the lyrics, it brought tears to my eyes. I wish I could hear you sing. In my mind, I will hear you and one day we will meet, and who knows, maybe, just maybe my wish will be fulfilled, to sing to God Almighty in a beautiful Heavenly Choir. But eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, prepared for them that love Him. That too is a Song, which I practiced with Mrs.Dowd, who is no longer with us, to do as a Solo. I never got to sing it.

I don't know how to post things like this, Irene. But here above is a link that you could cut and paste to your address bar for the Internet and hear the Song: His eye is on the Sparrow by Sandi Patti. My favorite rendition is from Crystal Lewis (also on youtube).
Have a wonderful day,

The above link is Crystal Lewis singing The Sparrow.
I DO NOT LIKE THE VIDEO though! So, close your eyes and listen to her voice only. She's good; so very talented in my opinion.

1 Though I speak with tongues of men, though I speak as Angels,
If I have no charity, I have become as nothing.
I have become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
With the gift of prophecy, still I am as nothing.2 Though I know all mysteries, though I have all knowledge,
If I have no charity, I have become as nothing.
Though I give all that I possess, let my body burn,
If I have not charity, then I am as nothing.3 Charity rejoices not in iniquity,
But rejoices in the truth, believes and bears all things.
Hopes all things, endures all things, never thinketh evil.
If I have not charity, then I am as nothing.4 Whether there be prophesies, whether there be knowledge,
These shall likewise pass away, but charity remains.
Faith and hope and charity, all of these abide.
But among the three of these, charity is greatest.Peace and Love Irene

1 And though I speak with tongues of men and yet I have no love,
And though I am as sounding brass, a sound not heard above.2 And though I have the gift to teach and understand all things,
And with great faith the mountains move, but little joy it brings.3 And though I give to feed the poor, but love I have not found,
And give my body to be burned, yet still my hands a bound.CHOIR
Love never fails or seeks its own, a treasure for your
youth.
Love suffers long and love is kind, rejoices in the Truth.Peace and Love Irene

1 Behold I will show, I will show you all a mystery,
We shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed,
In just a while, the twinkling of an eye, you'll see.
Th Trumpet shall sound, and we shall all be raised.2 Oh, death, Oh grave, where is your sting, your victory.
The sting of death is sin, defined by Law.
And when this mortal puts on immortality.
The Trumpet shall sound, rejoice forever more.CHORUS
But thanks to God, Who giveth us the victory.
Through Christ the Lord Eternal Living One,
Always abound and do the work He's given me,
Beloved of God and Christ, His chosen sons.Peace and Love Irene

1 I sing the mighty power of God, that make the mountain rise,
That spread the flowering seas abroad, and built the lofty skies.
I sing the wisdom that ordained the sun to rule the day;
The moon shines at His command, and all the stars obey.2 I sing the goodness of the Lord, that filled the earth with food,
He formed the creatures with His Word, and then pronounced them good.
Lord, how Thy wonders are displaced, where e're I turn my eye,
If I survey the ground I tread or gaze upon the sky.3 There's not a plant or flower below, but makes Thy glories known.
And clouds arise and tempest blow, by orders by Thine Throne.
While all that borrows life from Thee is ever in Thy care.
And every-where that man can be, Thou God art present there.Peace and Love Irene

This Song that comes to my mind right now is about about the yellow Bird.YELLOW BIRD
Yellow Bird high up a Banana Tree,
Yellow Bird you sit all alone like me,
Did your Lady Friend leave the Nest again?
That is very sad, makes me feel so bad,
You sit high up the tree, you can fly away,
You are much luckier then me.Yellow Bird, High up a Banana tree,
Yellow Bird you sit all alone like me.
Pickers coming soon, pick from night to noon,
Since you yellow too, they might pick you some day.Peace and Love Irene
September 29, 2008 at 5:29 am#108953charityParticipantThe Queen of Hearts: lyrics
The Queen of Hearts she made some tarts all on a summer's day;
The Knave of Hearts he stole the tarts and took them clean away.
The King of Hearts called for the tarts and beat the Knave full sore
The Knave of Hearts brought back the tarts and
vowed he'd steal no more.September 29, 2008 at 5:34 am#108954charityParticipantI tried to trace the origin of this rhyme,
Hope it doesn't go back as far as the disciple John? …smileTwo little dicky birds: lyrics
Two little dicky birds sitting on a wall,
One named Peter, one named Paul.
Fly away Peter, fly away Paul,
Come back Peter, come back Paul! The origin?
No specific origins in history could be traced for this popular children's nursery rhyme! Neither could any other verses be traced! What is also unusual is that although the rhyme only has four lines there are two titles for it – the obvious 'Two little dicky birds' and the more obscure 'Fly away Peter, Fly away Paul'
which is also used!September 29, 2008 at 7:46 am#108961charityParticipantLyrics
Forbidden Colors
The wounds on your hands never seem to heal
I thought all I needed was to believe
Here am I, a lifetime away from you
The blood of Christ, or the beat of my heart
My love wears forbidden colours
My life believes
Senseless years thunder by
Millions are willing to give their lives for you
Does nothing live on?
Learning to cope with feelings aroused in me
My hands in the soil, buried inside of myself
My love wears forbidden colours
My life believes in you once again
I'll go walking in circles
While doubting the very ground beneath me
Trying to show unquestioning faith in everything
Here am I, a lifetime away from you
The blood of Christ, or a change of heart
My love wears forbidden colours
My life believes
My love wears forbidden coloursSeptember 29, 2008 at 5:29 pm#108973TiffanyParticipantSTAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS
1 Stand up, stand up for Jesus ye soldiers of the cross,
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory His army He shall lead,
Til every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.2 Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey.
Forth to the mighty conflict in this His glories day.
Ye that are men serve Him, against unnumbered foes,
Let courage rise with danger, and strenght to strenght oppose.3 Stand up, stand up for Jesus, in His strenght alone.
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer.
Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.4 Stand up stand up for Jesus, the strife will not belong;
Thi day, the noice of battle, the next the victor's song.
To him that overcometh, a crown of life shall be,
He with the King of Glory will reign eternally.Peace and Love Irene

I will be happy when the way is rough, because it gives my patience a way to grow. So I will let it grow, and not try to squirm out of my problems. For when my patience is finally in full bloom then I will be ready for anything, strong in character full and complete.

May the God of my hope, so fill me with all joy and peace in believing the experience of my Faith that by the power of the Holy Spirit I may abound and be overflowing with Hope. When my complete arrives, my incomplete will be canceled. I don't see things yet clearly.
I am squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won't be long, before the Weather clears and the sun shines bright. I'll see it all then, as clearly as God sees me, knowing Him directley as He knows me!
But for right now, until that completeness, I have three things to do, that lead me to that consummation. Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of these is Love.Wow big words.

Let the little Children come unto me this day,
For such is God's great Kingdom, and truly do I say,
My Father gives eternal life to His begotten Son's,
So receive the Kingdom like a child just like these little ones.He took the children in His arms, and held them tenderly,
And He told of all the miracles, He performed through out the coming year.
Deciple did rebuke them, with their faces sterm and grim.
But when Jesus saw, He was so displeased, He beckoned them to Him.Let the little children come unto Him today,
For such is God's great Kingdom,
and truly do I say…..
My Father gives eternal life to His begotten son's,
So receive the Kingdom like a child, just like these little ones.Peace and Love Irene
