CONSIDER AND HEAR ME
How long, O Lord wilt Thou forget me? How long wilt Thou hide Thy face from me?
How long shall mine enemies triumph over me?Consider and hear me, O Lord my God, consider and hear me, O Lord my God.
Lighten mine eyes, lighten my eyes, Lest I sleep the sleep of the death.Let not mine enemies say, I have prevailed against him, prevailed against him.
For my trust is in Thy mercy, Thy Thy mercy, Thy mercy and faithfulness
Thy mercy and faithfulness.Stand up O Lord, in Thy might! Arise!
Judge Thou my cause!
Gird me with strength unto the battle, with strength unto the battle.
And I will praise Thee and I will praise Thee,
Will praise Thee upon my HarpStand up, O Lord, in Thy might! Arise!
Judge Thou my cause!
And I will praise and magnify Thy name.Peace and Love Irene

July 12, 2009 at 12:59 am#137269LightenupParticipantOk, so I was at a wedding today of a guy that I have watched grow up. It has been a blessing to see him and his girl as they have courted for about four or five years…a true Christian example of young love! This song was played for the Father/Daughter dance and if my daughter chooses this song some day, they will have to sedate me or I'll ball my eyes out! I saw Steven Curtis Chapman sing this in person last month down by the river at a festival on “Faith” night. I was with my friend. She and I were with my 16 yr. old son and her 15 yr. old daughter who had just gone to their first prom together the week before. We had both taught our kids to dance on the ballroom floor in our kitchens just before that. Good grief, songs like this tug at your heart string!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v….ndex=32
BTW, the singer wrote this before his littlest “Cinderella” got killed in a tragic automobile accident. Listen…and pass the tissues! You never know what is ahead…God sustains us with hope of a glorious reunion someday!

Kathi! Music runs in your Family, fantastic! I do know what it is to be so emotional, that you cry. Are you and your friend trying to be Matchmakers, with your Son and Her Daughter?
You are making my night. I am sitting here and smiling from ear to ear.
It really got me when our oldest Grandson got married and the played ” Ave Maria.” Somebody handed me a hankie. I sang that song two times in the Catholic Church. I really don't otherwise look back, but that song is so beautiful. You will forever remember this. Thank you, Thank you. Now I will listen to the Song.

I never told you that two of our Son's play the Guitar, one even plays in a Band. Also one of our Grandson plays the guitar. He also has song in several Plays. Those moments are so special. I am forever looking forward to the world tomorrow. No more pain and no more sorrow. All will be united with God and Jesus Christ our Savior.

IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL
1 When peace like a river, descended on me.
When sorrow like sea-borrow roll,
Whatever my lot, you have taught me to say,
It is well it is well, with my Soul.REFRAIN
It is well with my Soul, It is well, It is well with my Soul.
2 When Satan does buffet and trials come along, let this blessed assurance control,
That Christ reassurance my hope less estate, it is well, it is well with my Soul.REFRAIN
3 My sin oh, the bless of that glorious thought, my sin not in part but in whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bare it no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord oh my Soul.REFRAIN
4 Oh Lord hast the day that my Faith is by sight, the clouds shall roll back like a scroll,
The Trumpet will sound, and the Lord will descend, it is well it is well, with my Soul.REFRAIN
Peace and Love be with all of You, Irene

July 31, 2009 at 6:00 pm#139721CindyParticipantJOYFULL,JOYFUL WE ADORE THEE
1 Joyful, joyful we adore Thee, God of Glory God of Love,
Hearts unfold like flowers before Thee, opening to the sun above.
Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, drive the dark of doubt away.
Giver of immortal gladness fill us with the light of day.2 All Thy works with joy surround Thee, earth and Heaven reflect Thy rays;
Stars and Angles sing around Thee, center of unbroken praise.
Fields and forest , vale and mountain, fllowing meadow, flashing sea.
Chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in Thee.3 Thou are given and forgiven , ever blessings ever blessed,
Wellspring of the joy of living, ocean depth of happy rest.
Thou our Father, Christ our Brother, all who live in love are Thine;
Teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine.4 Mortals, join the happy Chorus, which the morning stars began,
Fathers love is reigning o'er us, brothers love binds man to man.
Ever singing march we onward, victors in the midst of strife,
Joyful music leads us sun-wards in the triumph song of life.Peace and Love Irene
August 1, 2009 at 1:14 am#139782CindyParticipantHello to all! I find it rather interesting that you don't come here and evewn look at these Songs. Do you not believe that Praising God is important?
Peace and Love IreneAugust 7, 2009 at 10:16 pm#140349CindyParticipantSome times I seem to have no patience. I do have to learn some of that yet. The older you get the harder it becomes. I have not posted a Song, so maybe I will do so tomorrow.
Love IreneAugust 8, 2009 at 2:51 pm#140385CindyParticipantSince I did not write down which of the Song's I have posted, I have to go by my memory. So if I post a song twice please excuse me.
THE KING OF LOVE MY SHEPARD IS
The King of love my Shepard is
Whose goodness faileth never
I nothing lack if I am His
And he is mine foreverWhen streams of living waters flow
My ransomed soul He leadeth
And where the verdant pastures grow
With food celestial feedethPerverse and foolish, oft I strayed
But yet in love He sought me
And on His shoulder gentle laid
And home rejoicing brought meIn death's dark vale I fear no ill
With Thee dear Lord besides me
Thy rod and staff my comfort still
Thy Word before to guide meThou spreadest a table in my sight
Thy unction grace bestoweth
And, O, the transport of delight
With which my cup overflowethAnd so, thro' all the length of days
Thy goodness faileth never
Good Shepard, may I sing Thy praise
Within Thy House foreverPeace and Love Irene
