Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

June 15, 2014 at 12:50 am#388961942767ParticipantHi Wakeup:
You ask:
Quote Marty. You dont believe that the child was conceived by the Holy Spirit?
When did the Holy Spirit leave Him?
And back again at the jordan? Can you explain?
wakeup.
Wakeup:
The scripture states that he was conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary. When he was born into this world of the virgin Mary that means that God is His Father, and the virgin Mary is His mother.
There is nothing said here of the Holy Spirit dwelling within him.
He was raised by Joseph (his earthly father) and Mary his mother Jews under the Law of Moses. Jews under the Law of Moses do not have the Holy Spirit unless they are prophets.
And Jesus was a prophet during his ministry on earth, but he was not sent forth and used in that role until his ministry. He received the HS at that time because the scripture states that, and nothing more needs to be said. If the scripture does not say it, you should say it, otherwise you make God out to say something HE did not say.
That is what is wrong with your statement here in this thread. God did not state “the Word was and adult in heaven prior to coming to earth.
You are trying to understand the scripture which states: “All things were created by him, and without him was nothing made that was made”, and so search the scriptures to see what that means. If there is a scripture which states that he existed in heaven as a person, then post it, and I will believe it, but otherwise, I will never believe something that just a statement of “opinion” based on your understanding of the scriptures, and you should never accept it either.
Love in Christ

Hi Wakeup:He is from everlasting because he was fore-ordained. When God began to create the heavens and the earth and the host thereof, he had a plan as to how he was going to do it and why he was doing it and everything else about it.
It was in God's plan from the beginning that His plan would be fulfilled through His giving of His Only Begotten Son and His Christ at a specific point in time. (That is what is meant by the statement that he is from everlasting)

Marty.Dont make up your own opinion regarding Isaiah 9.
the child was from everlasting.
The Mighty God.
The everlasting Father.
He is God's own living Word.Matthew 12:48 But he answered and said unto him that told him,
***Who is my mother***?
***and who are my brethren***?Mark 3:33 And he answered them, saying,
***Who is my mother, or my brethren***?Dont forget; this was God speaking.
He is telling us something;and that is the mystery that many
are not given to understand, but the few.No man knows the son nor the Father.
Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and
***no man knoweth who the Son is***,
***but the Father***;
***and who the Father is, but the Son***,
***and he to whom the Son will reveal him***.wakeup.
