But you who pretend to know the ethereal nature of God aren’t sure what he may think about same sex marriage? I find that quite interesting.

Don’t take me wrong Lu I’m glad you brought it up because I also thought about starting a thread on it,or at least on homosexuality. But it must be that the Spirit hath given thee the courage to do so; but why? Do you think bible could support it?

Lightenup Andrew, you sure did jump to a conclusion. . What about my post tells you whether I believe in same sex marriage or not? I am just putting the question out there because yesterday, someone that I thought was a Christian posted something on fb that was applauding the New Zealand’s parliament who just passed an equality in marriage act. She is a personal friend and it bothered me all day that she had that stance. I was just wondering if members here were on the same side, i.e. opposing this or not. I take it that you oppose it. That is all I wanted to know. No need for your arrogant comment.I apologize if you found what I said arrogant;I just found it funny-that’s all,and i couldn’t resist to say what I did about the ethereal nature.

The homosexual action shows contempt for God’s creation. Homosexual marriage declares what is evil, good.

He kerwin, what if the homosexual does not know God, the designer of sex, are they still showing contempt for God’s creation? How can you show contempt for a design, if in your heart you believe that you are actually just adding another dimension and giving it more fullness and at the same time, doing what you feel is right and beautiful to that design??Kerwin,
Many think Paul was a homosexual and that’s why he was obsessed with the issue of sin and why he converted too.
Thanks AndrewAD. I’m just trying to put my self in their place and think through what the government should be legalizing. I know what I think the church should allow and that is that marriage is between one man and one woman and a life long lasting covenant before YHWH. I would never vote to allow two people of the same sex to be married as a life long lasting covenant before YHWH because then, what if they become a Christian and then realize they were wrong to make such a covenant. Then they have to decide whether or not to divorce which God hates also.
But if they get married it could be before a Yawa god or not.That is all in their own mind.I know a homosexual jewish couple who are legally married;and they do all the jewish holidays and never eat pork or shrimp.
What is a Yawa god, AndrewAD? Did you just pull that name out of the thin air? The jewish couple must not know their Bible then.
I said a Yawa god as in the Jewish god Yahweh or Jehovah who can be called by various names even Yahoo according to some.They just call him God as most people normally do.No I didn’t pull it out of thin air-it’s just a pronunciation for some people.
Well, I can safely say that I haven’t seen those spellings before in reference to YHWH…Yawa, Yahoo, really?? You might what double check that. I know you can search “Yahoo” to find truth but that is called a search engine. 🙂 It’s a joke.
here in Brisbane the same question comes up. Now, in Australia the social security system acknowledges the living together of, Marrieds, de-facto and gay couples, 2 gays cannot live in the same place with separate benefits, First if 2 Christian guys want to share a house they must prove they are NOT shacking up. as in show bills and rent separate. Gays however are subject to the same ‘married’ rules.
Many here wont mind if the wording is changed to gay union ratified by the state. The word marriage means totally different. God married adam and eve not adam and steve.
