All who are reborn into the Son of God are scriptural saints.
Have you joined yet?February 15, 2007 at 11:06 am#40389TimothyVIParticipantHi Phoenix,
What Nick said.
Many people are confused because they think that a saint can only be someone
that the Catholic church declared a saint.Tim
February 15, 2007 at 6:19 pm#40396PhoenixParticipantOh sorry guys… I know Mother Teresa was catholic when she was declared Saint. Trust me I dont think the church is that great but she really is an inspirational lady. I know for sure that I couldnt do her works.
So the question really should be…. are their any people (notably) doing the good works today?
Nick, no i havent a joined nor born again yet. I still smoke, swear and get angry, um a lot of silly things. But I am trying though. I have only read the bible since the beginning of January. And I have been involved with christian chats and theology as well as other forums. I believe in Jesus and God yes. I believe Jesus died on the cross for us yes. I do not believe Jesus IS God. Yet i dont claim myself born again.
February 15, 2007 at 6:23 pm#40397NickHassanParticipantHi Phoenix,
Let the Spirit do the hard work.
Come to Jesus admitting you are a sinner and asking God for forgiveness in water baptism and when you ask for the Spirit God plants eternal life in you that grows up to be Jesus in you as you walk with him and feed on the Word.
Those whom men admire sometimes are not so admired by God though anyone devoted to the poor lives in the love of God.February 15, 2007 at 7:53 pm#40404PhoenixParticipantohhhhhh.
well ok.
Yeah I am slowly getting into this bible study. It seems so slow. My tutors came yesterday and after they left I felt…. somewhat sad because I learned nothing from them!! it was just a general chat. I learn more on the internet to be honest. Yet i wanted to get off the computer coz it is really sore on the butt. anyway baptism? wow i never even thought of that. I thought well if they dont keep the sabbath anymore then there is obviously a lot of other stuff they dont keep.. ie passover and so on.
thanks for that Nick
I will remember to ask them questions about baptism

Hi phoenixWhen we give our lives to Jesus He excepts us as we are, worts and all. As Nick said “let the Spirit do the hard work”.
Ask forgiveness and get baptized, The Spirit will lead you into understanding God's Word.
I want to encourage you to do this.
God bless.February 15, 2007 at 9:31 pm#40419PhoenixParticipantSo I just go up to someone in the church and say “baptise me please”??
