I watched TBN yesterday and even though that channel is the epitome of denominationism, money, and the traditions of men, sometimes they have speakers that preach what I believe to be the heart of God.
Yesterday a speaker came on and was being interviewed about a book he wrote called “Revolution” or Revolutions”. He talked about the fact that many christians in the US have stopped going to church and against popular belief that they have fallen away, many of them do not go because they have realised that they are the church and to that end they live as the church should.
This guy who wrote this book was asked many questions and I was impressed with this guy's wisdom. Although I only heard him speak for about half an hour, I could only glean a small amount of who this guy was or what he had to say, but again he put forward a great case and used and preach scripture prominently.
After the interview, a pastor of the church he was being interviewed at, immediately preached a message contrary to his, as if to try and undo the seed that had been planted in the hearers who were there.
It was quite amazing to see such a radical but scriptural message being preached in this huge denomination and then to see a reaction similar to what we get here at times with those who are bound up in the traditions of men.
Has anyone read this book or heard of it? I would be interested to know more. It is about millions of christians in the USA, who do not go to church as it is called, but who live amazing lives for God outside of the system.
