Hi t8,
So the waters of the Spirit of life flow from the Father and the Son.
Is that the Pelorus river?
April 29, 2015 at 10:02 am#795998ProclaimerParticipantYes it is that river. While I have seen amazing clarity in many rivers in NZ, this one was so clear it was as if it wasn’t there.
My guess is that the river of life flows from the Father through the Son to all creation.
Jesus claimed that he was the life and further, all that the son has comes from the Father.
April 29, 2015 at 10:08 am#796001NickHassanParticipantHi t8,
Yes the Spirit of eternal life in him said these things through him
Of course the Spirit was not referring to the flesh
The flesh contributes nothing
Rom 8.2

Rev 22:1 shows (as clear as the water you’re looking at) that the oneness of the Son makes Him equal to God…
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
“Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.”
“The Word was with God, and the Word WAS GOD.”
“Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage..”
“Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name.”
“..the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
“I and the Father are One.”
Let Scripture itself (rather than human reasoning) reveal the true Deity of Christ.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself.

May 14, 2015 at 6:40 am#797373NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
Equality means ONENESS?
Unity means ONENESS?
For the words to have any relevance you must be speaking of TWO.
Even a dictionary should help you here
May 19, 2015 at 6:01 pm#797936ProclaimerParticipant“..the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
Seriously @DavidL, read on (again). Who sits on Jesus throne? One? two? many?
To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
Do you continually need to be corrected? Can you not let the Spirit of truth guide you? Why always draw the wrong conclusion from scripture. Why?
May 20, 2015 at 8:48 am#797981NickHassanParticipantHi Davidl,
Jesus Christ drove the demons from the man inLk8.
Lk 8.38f
He sent him away saying
“Return to your house and describe what great things GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU”
Who was Jesus speaking of?
Himself or His Father?
If it was His father why do you want to make him God??
May 20, 2015 at 9:44 am#797994kerwinParticipantDavidL,
A son can sit on his father’s lap.
In the case of God he lives in those that believe in him through his Spirit.

Yes – how about you..??
“To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with Me on My throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with My Father on His throne.” (Rev 3:21)
Here we see TWO thrones..
and so you use this to bring in your anti-trinity confusion..
but if you take the time to look at this verse you quote, we again see the distinction between our oneness with Christ as branches – and His oneness with the Father as God..
Jesus is given a throne – He will rule the nations, and those who are His will be given positions of authority in His kingdom..
But the fact that Christ sat down with the Father on HIS THRONE should show you clearly His Own authority with God – as God..!!!
HOW can the Son sit with the Father on HIS THRONE – AND NOT BE GOD…!!!???!!!
really you’ve got to be a theological contortionist to deny the Deity of the Son…!!!
May 23, 2015 at 6:45 am#798265NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
Jesus is the vine and his Father is the vinedresser.
The branches are more similar to the vine, than the vine is to the vinedresser.
The throne of David is of earth where Jesus has been made King[ps2]

If Jesus is sitting on the throne with the Father and Jesus tells those who overcome they will sit with Jesus on his throne, the first question is how many thrones is Jesus sitting on? secondly if there sitting with Jesus and Jesus is sitting with the Father then they’re all on the same throne…are they all now qualified to be god?
This is the same circle as I and my father are one and you and I are one, that would make us all one so we would be whatever the person claiming to be one with the Father.
So this must have a different meaning in regards to “throne” it would seem to mean to sit in a status, securely or solidly fixed in place such as when God says Hebrews 7:17 For it is borne witness, *Thou* art a priest for ever according to the order of Melchisedec.
In other words
Romans 11:29Darby Translation (DARBY)29 For the gifts and the calling of God [are] not subject to repentance.
So Jesus said to the one “victorious” because he also overcame the world and earned the Throne i.e. the fixed irrevocable place “high priest forever”
likewise those who overcome will be in that same order of MelchezidecHebrews 7:3 without father, without mother, without genealogy; having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but assimilated to the Son of God, abides a priest continually.
In other words born of Spirit.
So Jesus is saying those who are born again by Spirit and overcome they will also have his status which is to also dwell in the abode of God, this does not make anyone God because God’s throne or place is not HIM, it is like being invited to the white house and sit in the oval office, this would not make you president but it would demonstrate your rank as being very close to the president

Here we see TWO thrones..
Let’s look at this truthfully. The text mentions two thrones, so it doesn’t mean there are two thrones in existence.
And just as we who are victorious are not Christ because we sit with him on his throne, likewise Christ is not God because he sits with his Father on his throne.
Just as Christ is the head of the man, so God is the head of Christ.

the waters that come out of the throne of God and the Lamb is not a literal river but a spiritual one for it is the true knowledge in abundance,
July 27, 2015 at 12:38 pm#801392ProclaimerParticipantThe Spirit flows from God who is spirit himself to creation and out of the hearts of those who are one with God.
John 7:37-39
Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'” But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. - AuthorPosts
