You also need to consider how these two verses harmonize together
with the view I have previously presented about being “Born Again”

  “flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God”  (1 Cor 15:50)

    “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit,
    if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you.”  (Romans 8:9)

The message mercy sent by God was not to angels.
Neither does scripture say they are born of the Spirit.
Seen as a symbol or not men must be water baptised

“And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation”

                            “Likewise also these”

“clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; TREES (<– compare with Isaiah 61:3)
whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots”

Still in the same pool of water. Still waters will stagnate, and then dry up.

Isaiah 14:23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith the LORD of hosts.

Isaiah 42:15 I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.

Church denominations are like pools of water.
Not going anywhere. Untill it dries up.

Are you suggesting that this is referencing the Resurrection? What do you then make of this…
“But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.”  (Matthew 8:22)

How can “The Dead” bury the dead? Once again you can see that this verse also
harmonizes with my view. How does Matt 8:22 harmonize with your view?   (<– Please explain)

No not the resurrection in context-rather the taking in of the light by those being transformed by renewal of their minds according to the Spirit.

Those who are not alive in the Spirit are yet dead.

Those reborn of the Spirit are meant to submit their darkened minds to the light of truth.
It is possible to rebel and quench the Spirit and so to continue to sleep.
Only those who are LED by the Spirit are the sons of God.

God is the God of the living and not the dead.
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are yet alive-in the Spirit

Man has only 70-80 years before the cord of Ecc 12 breaks and the bucket falls to the bottom of the well.
Those who have come to the waters [jn 7.37f]and drunk can be alive forever and a source of that water for others.

Those who refuse the waters of life are yet prophetically dead and the world can be left to “bury them”
