CO,
You're kidding, right?
1 John 1:8-10 – If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
James 5:16 – Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.
James 1:13-15 – Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust. Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.
James 2:9-10 – But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
June 30, 2007 at 9:27 pm#57289kejonnParticipantThe above was for whether or not we still sin, this is for Gentiles and repentance:
Acts 11:18 – When they heard this, they quieted down and glorified God, saying, “Well then, God has granted to the Gentiles also the repentance that leads to life.”
Acts 26:20 – but kept declaring both to those of Damascus first, and also at Jerusalem and then throughout all the region of Judea, and even to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds appropriate to repentance.

Sins. Isn't it obvious?
Hi acc.
Thanks for your reply, at least it is an answer to the question. Some on this question don't know what to repent of, yet continue to say 'you must repent', yet not know what to repent of.
Although I thank you for your response, May I disagree? I believe that our Lord and Saviour Christ Jesus, who lived a sinless life on earth, took on the sins of the word (all of us, past, present, and future) and died on the cross for us, paying our debt,(the wages of sin is death) and being raised the third day, having “justified” all of us (Ro. 3:24-25). God sees our sin no more, we have been “conciliated” to God through His sacrifice. (Ro.5:6-15).
To repent was Gods command to the Jews, under the law and the Old Covenant, which has been abolished, due to their refusal to accept their Messiah, and God has now turned to the nations (gentiles). To 'correctly cut the word of truth' (2tim.2:15), we must realise Jesus' teachings were to the Jews (Matt.15:24) “I was not commissiond except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel”. We must not confuse these scriptures, Christ for the Jews, Pauls epistles for the nations (Ro.15:8 & 16). Thanks again.Blessings.
CO, you have no sin?Rom 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
Hi kenrch.
Thanks for your reply. You quote Ro.3:9 as an example; but you take it out of context, look at the begining of that chapter, “What then, is the prerogative of the Jew, etc. … this chapter is talking about the Jews, under the law, see verse 19; “Now we are aware that, whatever the law is saying, it is speaking to those under the law, … Then in verse 21 it explains further; Yet now, apart from law, a righteousness of God is manifest (being attested by the law of the prophets), yet a righteousness of God through Jesus Christ's faith, for all, and on all who are believing, for there is no distinction, for all sinned and are wanting of the glory of God.
verse 24. Being justified gratuitously in His grace, through the deliverance which is in Christ Jesus (Whom God purposed for a Proptiatory shelter, through faith in His blood, for a display of His righteousness because of the passing over of the penalties of sins which occured before in the forbearance of God), toward the display of His righteousness in the current era, for Him to be just and Justifiero of the one who is of the faith of Jesus. Where then is boasting? It is debarred! Through the law? Of works? No!, But through faiths law. For we are reckoning a man to be JUSTIFIED by faith apart from works of law.
So when reading the whole chapter, we see that we are JUSTIFIED. (by Jesus' death and ressurrection), God sees our sin no more.
The whole message is that Jesus sacrifice was sufficient, we cannot “earn ” our salvation through our “works”, (lest we should boast)Blessings.

Hi kejonn.
These verses you quote are for the unbelieving Jews that believe they are still under the “law”. Not for us.
Please see the answer I gave to kenrch in the above post, the same explanation applies to your quote.
Thanks for your response.

CO, WHEN you break the law then you have sinned And are under the law until you repent. Is it only the Jews that sin? You have never lusted? If you have then you BETTER repent, turn away ask for forgiveness1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Rom 3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:Rom 3:30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
How do we establish the Law? Do we establish the law by sinning, breaking the law?
If you have no sin then that is wonderful and I'm sure you walk on water, and raise the dead. I'm not joking Scripture says we would do greater works than Jesus.
1Jo 2:1 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
1Jo 3:4 Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness; sin is lawlessness.
1Jo 5:16 If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life–to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.
I don't think their is anything left to say except may be we need a bible just for we Gentiles.
Please consider the scriptures and repent.

Hi Kenrch,
Who is under the law given to the Jews?
You don't get a speeding ticket unless you speed. You aren't sinning unless you break the law. As long as you stay within the speed limit then you are not under the law you are establishing the law. Keep God's law and establish His law.Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Rom 8:6 To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Rom 8:7 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. The mind set on the flesh does not submit to God's law.
July 1, 2007 at 3:04 am#57313kejonnParticipantJudging by the responses I've seen when many try to show truth, I have only one verse left for this thread:
Matthew 7:6 “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.”
July 1, 2007 at 3:15 am#57315chosenoneParticipantTo those who think they have to keep the “law”, please look in the book of Leviticus, there you will find all the laws. For God said, if you have broken one you have broken them all. Some of the laws state, you must be circumcised, you must not eat unclean foods, keep all the holy festivals, including the 'day of atonement (you must fast the whole day, sunrise to sundown, no food or water), anyone caught in adultary must be put to death, a woman caught in the act of adultary must be 'stoned', you must sacrifice a lamb on the day of atonement, keep the sabbath, observe 'passover', if you contract leprocy you will be banned from the city. These are only a very few of the complete law, I'm sure you don't even begin to understand the many laws you must keep, if you think you are under “law”. To know only a few laws, and think that “repenting” of these few will “earn” you salvation, you haven't begun to to repent of the many you don't even know of.
Again, please look at the book of “Leviticus”, study the many laws you should observe if you think the law is for us today, and see if you can keep the “law”. I'm sure you will find this task impossible to do.Blessings.
