Did not Jesus promise that the Spirit would remind us of his words?
Then why do you add your understandings?

O you already have.Nick……….I have not denied there is a Satans , there are MANY Satans (adversaries) of GOD and Jesus , even Peter was one and Judas and the Pharisees also were. Because i place in the meaning of the word Used instead of the ideology taught by MYSTERY RELIGIONS the DOCTRINE of DEVILS AND DEMONS as Being that go around jumping in and out of People as you believe. Doesn't mean i do not believe is the SPIRIT (INTELLECT) of ADVERSARIES. You may even be one at times as PETER was once. Nick i do rely on scripture and give its meanings too. It is you inability to precieve what Scripture is saying is the problem here , not scriptures you lack of understanding is.
Nick………Word are word, you must (UNDERSTAND) THEM to be of use. The Spirit of GOD gives us the understand of those scriptures.
you should already know this . Word without understand is just so much gibberish.I do not know about anyone else but reliance on the one true God is the foundation of my faith. Scripture is merely a testimony about him and what he desires of his people.
Kerwin …..True, that is more important the anything that we believe on the ONE and (ONLY) TRUE GOD, and the Lord Jesus Christ who came and Spoke to US (HIS) he FATHERS Words. Nick has made scriptures his god. While they do express to us His words (if understood properly), and impute His thoughts to us.
It still takes HIS spirit to properly understand them. Jesus said if the light in you be darkness How great is that darkness, meaning we all only understand in Part, not totally as we should and will some day, but we are all at different levels and have different levels of understanding , but we should be growing and maturing until we all come unto the Unity of the Faith.
We are to grow in GRACE (AND) KNOWLEDGE, this shows we are all learners and should be increasing in understanding as we grow in Knowledge. GOD SPIRIT is the teacher . Jesus chided the Pharisees and ask them why could they not understand his words then went on to said they couldn't because they were not of GOD or they could understand them. Anyone can Parrot scripture, but he who understands them is far ahead.
To Show you this just look here at all the false teachings of the TRINITY and PREEXISTENCES , we all read from the same words but how is it that the very simple scriptures that Describe that there is (ONLY) ONE TRUE GOD, can not be understood, and is changes to three GOD”S Some can see clearly Jesus did not preexist his berth here on earth other can not , but all reading from the same scriptures, So Nick thinking just reading the word gives the understand is a fallacy and is far from the truth. It takes GOD'S SPIRIT OF TRUTH to correctly understand HIS WORDS. IMO

The gnostic approach of only taking the bits of scripture that can be used to justify our ideas is strongly to be discouraged.
Respect for God should at least be manifest in respect for and reliance on His teachings which are sacred.

Does scripture lead to fallacious beliefs that only a man with UNDERSTANDING, like yourself, can correct?Is your INTELLECT really greater than the Spirit of God?
To ALL………Indeed GOD'S words are Sacred, to those who (TRULY) understand them. And those who do Have HIS SPIRIT OF TRUTH in them and are guided by it in their MINDS and HEARTS. (“for you shall all be taught by GOD”) we are told by Jesus and He added Don't you know that, (“Know you NOT”) Some here think parroting scripture is sufficient rather they understand it or not. So when understanding is given that they don't not have they consider it from the persons own self even though scripture is given to support their views, and start labeling them as gnostic as if the word Gnostic was a bad word. That is exactly how the Pharisees reacted to Jesus, because they did not understand what He was saying. So the fill up the deeds of there predecessors, never growing or learning just stagnate and parrots without understanding or even a desire to understand what is presented, because they think they know it all already. And everyone else who disagree with them are labeled “GNOSTIC'S” .
Nick………..You continually post my Post , and it has nothing to do with what you are trying to say. That post was to thinker with regards to him using Scripture without understand them, nothing there say we should not trust in the word of GOD. Point there is that we need GOD'S Spirit to (UNDERSTAND) His words properly. SO why keep embarrassing yourself by continual posting it.

If what i post is not scripturally sound then Post where it is not, instead of accusing me and labeling me, and where have i (EVER) SAID (I) (ONLY) have (UNDERSTANDING) OF SCRIPTURE, You are trash mouthing again and are falsely accusing me as you have others here also. I have always said this what (I) think it is MY OPINION, and I believe i have GOD SPIRIT to Guide my thought on what i am posting, I could care less if you believe it or not. IMO

reliance is good ,providing you relly on the true God and know him ,question how you do that???if you have understanding from the scriptures through the Spirit of God or the Spirit of Christ,thats good but then could you explain what is the spirit of God or of Christ ,sinse you use it you should know right
