Iron has nothing to do with israel.

Both groups are called by God but the gentiles who believe in Christ will take part in the first resurrection, so they will be quickened first at the second coming. Israel who did not believe will then receive mercy, and have the veil taken off their eyes, but will be brought back in the flesh during the 1000 year reign, so they will learn Christ during this period and receive salvation last, not first like their younger brother Ephraim, the resurrected christians from all over the world, not just one area.
