Knowing and knowing assuredly were two different senses of knowing. He did not become Christ the Lord, He was Christ the Lord the day He was born. Present tense, future tense…they mean something.IMO
LUHi Kathi,
So what is your take on Jesus' claim to have ALL authority after His resurrection?
God bless,

Thinker,
Yes, He gets the fullness of His authority after His resurrection. He does have some authority beforehand though.Peace to you,

So the angels as well as men knew “assuredly” as the result of His assuming FULL authority.

The angels knew assuredly that Jesus was a savior, Christ the Lord before His ressurection, even when He was born. Mankind was offered assuredness of this after He rose from the dead. The resurrection is what let man know that He was the savior, Christ the Lord. Not all men know this because darkness still reigns in their hearts.Kathi

The resurrection is also when He actually acquired full authority. You seemed to concede this earlier. You said,Quote Yes, He gets the fullness of His authority after His resurrection. He does have some authority beforehand though. Now it seems that you are recanting and saying that the resurrection was merely to let man know that He always had full authority. Did he have less authority before His resurrection or not?
